Re: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - (April 27, 2018)

Why is that Harry Potter dark lord villain guy in this, you know the one doing the "shh" gesture? I know this movie is the ultimate cross over of cross overs, but I didn't think Disney had Harry Potter too!

Why is the final battle ripping off the Phantom Menace with the grassy field war and blue purple bubbles? Where are the goongans and battle droids?

Why does everyone look like they're in front of a green screen with crappy Justice League tier animation?

Captain America shaking that big cartoon dude's hand was pretty cool.

Well, he was in the comics well before Potter. ;)

When Thanos said, "I hope they remember you." he didn't sound like he was being sarcastic or like he was taunting like most traditional villains. Even the look on his CGI face seemed like he was genuinely impressed or respectful of Tony's effort. I'm assuming he was talking to Tony, since he's the leader of the Avengers....but maybe it's Cap.

He's talking to Hawkeye about his fan club who are missing him...

So you saw Black Panther?

Re: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - (April 27, 2018)

What is going on with Renner anyways.

Wong and other side characters are on the freaking poster but not Hawkeye what gives.

Did he piss Feige off or what because I find it hard to believe that Hawkeye is that central to the Thanos story line that they’re keeping Hawkeye a freaking top secret!

C’mon that’s just bizarre.

That just stinks of a contract dispute.

Re: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - (April 27, 2018)

Hawkeye is gonna come outta nowhere and shoot Cap in the eye ending his suffering from Thanos's wrath....the Cap will vanish to return in part dos as ghost cap

He's in the movie and he was in the Vanity Fair magazine MCU special. He has a new costume and a new haircut. My guess, he's a fugitive or maybe a mercenary now, but why exclude him from all of the marketing? It makes no sense to me, since he's a nobody, and I doubt he with his little arrows can be THAT important to a plot that involves the end of half of the universe.

Re: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - (April 27, 2018)

Well Hawkeye has been the human proxy and since AoU they have been articulating his “retirement.”

I would guess he’ll start off this story as a non-combatant and perhaps show up in a moment of need.

At the end of CW I would guess, if anyone, Stark might advocate for Hawkeye to get a pardon.

Yeah, but who gives a **** about Hawkeye? If I was Tony, I wouldn't even remember the arrow guy. If it was the "real" world, and Hawkeye is retired like Rambo in part 3, and they go looking for him because they need him, then ok, it makes sense. But in the MCU, a place with many powerful people, Hawkeye is like a bench player. Seriously, when Thanos, the most powerful being in the universe shows up, I doubt the last thing anyone will think is, "Man, someone call that arrow guy, we really need his 14 arrows right now!!". :monkey3

I thought he was omitted from the magazine covers hence all the fan art covers being sent to him so that he could cheer up lol

On the surface that argument makes perfect sense BUT then that could be applied to everyone but Thor and Hulk and maybe even applied to Hulk as well.

Everyone.

Besides when facing an adversary of that magnitude might as well just throw everything at your disposal at them...everything.

That was Entertainment Weekly, which had like 20 different magazine covers, and yes he was not on any of the covers or inside either.

The Vanity Fair special also had a bunch of covers and he was on one of the covers and inside.

I don’t know how it will play out in IW but Stark would absolutely remember and keep Hawkeye in mind. He’s the (relatively) average Joe and also ideal for these public “heroes” - do your job and have a home life. I care about Hawkeye. I think the anti-Hawkeye sentiment reeks of internet Vogue-ing. He’s become a good character in the wake of Avengers 1 and Renner does a great everyman.

:dunno

I don’t care who’s on the poster and I hope he shows up.
