Re: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - (April 27, 2018)

Can't see anything ever beating Avatar's BO tbh. Let's not forget it was still playing in cinemas and collecting $$$ as late as August 2010, almost a full year after it released.

As a pop culture franchise, however, it has failed to leave any meaningful footprint in its wake aside from being known as the film with the blue alien chick that grossed 2 billion at a time when new cinema technology (3D) was ushering.

Ask random people to name 3 characters from Avatar and see how far you get. Go to your local toy store and try and find some toys and merchandise. Now do the exact same for SW and Avengers.

It's a one and done IP and its pointless 5 sequels will flop. I don't understand Cameron's idea to turn this into a big franchise when there's barely any interest in it. Just give us a great Terminator film since 1991 for god's sake.

Disney heavily invested in Avatar Land in Disney Animal Kingdom, they will make that movie work, but they might have killed their own franchise

Hawkeye instantaneously transformed into the most talked about character out of a group of 65 characters just because he was kept out of 2 trailers and a poster lol

WB needs to hire Feige’s marketing dept.

So...

1. Hawkeye

2. Mustache

3. Superman

:lol :lol :lol

Oh well at least WB has Ledger’s death going for it that was pretty spectacular. How long ago was that again lol.

This is how bad WB has ****ed up.

Batman casting has traditionally been the single largest Hollywood news event. Nothing in Hollywood other than SW could touch that. Not even MCU casting comes close to who will be playing Batman.

Affleck was huge news remember.

After JL box office/sadffleck embarrassment and mustache-gate I honestly think that future Batman casting has been severely damaged by WB.

WB has created an environment where the public will now feel sorry for whomever is casted for the roles of Batman and now even the Joker!

Fandango has confirmed that IW presale accomplished in 6 hours what took BP 24 hours to do!

Not so fast. I still think mustachegate is #1 clint a close second tho. It will shoot to number 1 when Jeremy acknowledges it on social media lol

Leto's casting and first photo was huge too. That's over now.

The reputation of the studio directly correlates with the reverence of the characters.

Now sure WB will eventually recover from this embarrassing bombastic nonsense they dug themselves into but until then lets enjoy some Aquaman bro lolz shall we.

I say give it 7 years Marvel will be dealing with their cinematic disaster nightmare while WB basks in superhero glory lol

Not if they do X Men and F4 right they won't. I fear for WB if is somehow the MCU can make a 90's Jim Lee X Men movie series, along with a proper Apocalypse, Doom, Galactus, Silver Surfer, etc....:thud: That's an easy 10 years of MCU movies.

While I'm somewhat looking forward to IW I can honestly say that when they bring the X-Men and FF into the MCU I will be done with them. I just don't have any investment in those characters (aside from maybe a proper Doom) and don't care to endure a whole ten years of characters I don't give a hoot about.

I haven't seen a single FoX-Men or FF movie and don't ever plan to.

Did you care about The Avengers before the movies?

If we're talking power, more like multiplied by a trillion.

If we're talking as a movie villain/character.....I doubt he'll be as memorable, but who knows, a new generation of kids will grow up with these films, so he might be a big deal to them.

Just reading that made me drool lol

Assuming the Fox deal is going through (did those recent rumbles add up to anything?) it could not be better timing for the MCU. Allow the Avengers to fade away and usher in the Mutants. While of course still peppering in the classic MCU characters (but hopefully not Pepper).

Everything's coming up Fiege. :lol

Imagine being in the generation of kids who grew up with the MCU first 10 years who in 30 years time will be complaining about the Prequel and Sequel MCU movies. :lol
