Honorable mention FF2 Rise of the Silver Surfer.....

I include the FF Rise of the Silver Surfer not because it's a good movie, its pretty awful, but I am a huge Silver Surfer fan and he was actually done relatively well. It's the rest that sucked. And I came to terms that it was most likely the only time I'd ever see him on the big screen. I'm confident Feige/Marvel will do him well if the fox merger goes through. And am excited about the rumors surfacing he may be in IW!!!!

If that turns about to be true I can finally bury the FF movie...

So Chris is leaving after avengers four? He's probably counting down the days till he can start making some real movies again hahahaha. But on another note , that really spoils a lot to announce that.

Thats correct.. He said he is retiring after Avengers 4.. Sounds like we know whats gonna go down with Cap. I agree with you though, not sure why he had to announce this now

True, but contracts can be extended.. His comments end any and all questions about that. He even told us the exact movie that ends his run as Cap lol so either he dies in this one or the next

Not for me he is my favorite character in the MCU. Also i dont really like knowing whats going to happen to a character in a show/movie before i see it.

Writers on the surprise Avengers 4 has in store:

"You’ve been told who’s the bad guy and what he wants for several movies and it’s not going to change: that’s what’s going to happen. You run it in the best possible way with twists along the way, but you have no idea what Avengers 4 is."

So again no cliffhanger, an entirely different movie based off the events of this one as they’ve said in different words before.

Gotta say they’re making 4 sound more exciting than this one! Imagine that one-two double whammy if they nail it

They are not announcing the name of Avengers 4 because its a spoiler for this movie.. If i was a betting man, i'd wager its going to be called Infinity Gauntlet.

Could always be misdirection... Downey's contract has already been extended 3x. And he's their biggest cost. I believe in AOU he made more than every other Avenger actor combined, with Scarlett #2. Avengers 4 will be 10 movies for him (9 + his uncredited cameo in Incredible Hulk).. His contract was never for 10 movies back when he signed.

Both Evans and Hemsworth love their characters and playing them, so it's really in Marvel/Disney's corner as to whether they want to keep paying them more and more with each new movie, or if Feige has plans to keep them around.

Here's a summary of who's contract is what, but it's a year old now from 4/17.

That's not true about Chris Hemsworth loving playing Thor. he hasn't done much but complain about it.
They had to completely change his character in Ragnarok for him to be happy about playing him again.
