Yes, great scene. This was truly one of Crowe's best performances. Same for Hackman.

Sharon Stone really stuck out as an empty vessel though. Almost every time she was on screen I lost interest. Her roll needed someone with smoldering presence. That movie really showed how bad an actress she really was.

Wait that movie was good I blew it off thinking it sucked lol

That means nothing....they literally watched an old movie and want to claim that unknown kid as Peter. Homecoming, CW, IW...make no mention of it. :dunno

That be like people saying John Blake in TDKR is the kid from Batman Begins, which would make sense...but we all know that's not him. :lol

They tried making her into a female version of the man with no name. It sucked.

Stark Expo was in Queens and Peter is a science whiz ergo he would obviously be taken there.

It is one of the best narrative retro fittings in the history of cinema!

Never allow age to destroy your imagination it will just make you a horrible miserable father lol

What will Aunt May say when she finds out. :horror

They should show Vulture’s reaction from jail as well lol

The good thing is that all that died on Titan will just reappear on Earth eliminating travel time. :lol

Do you know i’m just as excited to see their reintroductions as I am the contractual deaths.

So freaking epic what Marvel went and done.

I have only one wish that I so desperately want to see fulfilled and that is a Bucky Cap.

Man how are they going to open A4 how will the deaths be dealt with.

Maybe they’re gone too?

Fixed :)

There's a name for terrible fathers, a Goku.

Never watched anything DBZ related in my entire life :yess:

You really can't tell from the editing and some of the visual effects/techniques...not sure what to call them. He uses them in Darkman and Spiderman too. :lol

Yeah i’m watching that tonight had no idea it was by Raimi and that it was good :slap

What war? There’s no competition :lol

It’s like a fight between Mike Tyson in his prime coked up on steroids and speed (Marvel) vs Napolean Dynamite (WB) lol

Right? Nintendo >>>>>>> the rest :lecture

:lol :lol :lol

No weight to the moment at all when you watch knowing Disney has green lit a Spider-Man sequel.
Thors emotional attachment to a homicidal maniac that continually screws over him, his friends and his people is asinine to its core.

I finally saw it last night and I was surprised at how.... bored I was! The pacing was terrible, everything was so long and drawn out. So much of it took place in drab space ship interiors. There were emotional moments for sure, but they somehow lacked all semblance of ‘weight.’ The moments were there, but due to lacking a proper ‘build up’ they didn’t really resonate.

After seeing this I think the Russos are more suited for small scale stuff which they can do well, but for a movie this big their ideas are really lacking. There wasnt even a standout action scene where we got something you couldn’t have imagined before. And somehow even though the story was so big, it felt so ‘zoomed in’ and small.

I did like the finger snap and dust scene and the wasted gauntlet and arm. Did the wakanda battle remind anyone else of TPM? :lol

What I surprisingly liked was the humour. It’s the first marvel movie in a long time where I felt almost all of the humour was actually funny, even among the very serious goings ons. I think they did the GOTG better than Gunn did them as well (though I heard he contributed, so maybe that was him only?)

Also what happened to Scarlet Witch’s accent? Don’t tell me she was undercover... changing your looks is more important like cap and widow did than changing your voice. Which brings me to.... I can’t believe widow is part of the half that lived. But I understand as basically the original team survived, and I’m sure Hawkeye (lol) is out there too just waiting to save the day.

And didn’t they keep saying Hawkeye is in the movie when everyone was making fun of him? They also bold face lied to us saying it’s not a ‘part 1 of 2’

In the end the movie wasn’t as gutsy as I was hoping, nor as imaginative. There’s too many pages to read back here and a lot of them full of filler arguments lol... what’s the general feeling here? Am I in the minority for not being too hot on it? Or is it a generally shared sentiment? Not that it affects my opinion of the film, but just curious.

Oh last complaint - Silvestri utterly failed in the music department. Outside of the reworked theme which is absolutely great and also part of the reason the trailer got me so hyped up, the rest of the music was too bombastic without any real melody or emotion.

A very surprised 6/10
