Hey guys,

This is how I'll be displaying this bust with my Koto Mark VII statue. Are there any rumors about SS producing a 1/4 scale Mark Vii?

Damn! That does look like a cheap plastic bust.
What happened to the brass effect faceplate?

There is a Mark VII Maquette on the horizon. ..could take years though, who knows :dunno

Anyone see these yet? does this look different from what we saw at SDCC? These pics are from UK Toyfair.

:gah: :gah: everytime I always forget to remember the London Toy Fair :slap got one more day left before its ends so fingers crossed I can get a half day off work tomorrow and see this bust in person  thanks for sharing :wave

Looks the same to me with diff lighting. But i was never blown away by it. Arc reactor is still an eyesore and its way overpriced.

The Red finish looks really nice but that gold.. hope its lighting

Hey guys,

I just wanted to chime in on a few thoughts i have on this piece.

I'm not too worried about the colours. I think from what we saw at SDCC the colours looked good. If anything, it's going to be quite close to the previous Iron Man 1:1 bust.

I also don't think the Arc reactor looks bad at all. I like the blue tinge to the periphery of the glass. Isn't this what it looked like in the film?

As far as photos go, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've just got on the Mark Vii Bust bandwagon myself, so i don't have as much history invested into this piece as some of you guys do. But, after going through similar worries with the Master Chief PF and then the Batman PF, I think photos taken with flash don't do these statues justice. Also, we were all presently surprised when MC came out with the reflective visor instead of the matte one showed at SDCC.

I think this piece will turn out great and for me, it represents my favorite Iron Man armor from the films.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.

Thanks for your input Alb :) for the most part I agree with all you have to say. I'm not worrying too much about the bright colours of the gold and red and am putting it down to strong lighting (which is expected at a convention). Whilst I'd like to have seen a bit more detail in the arc reactor (which you'd understand more if you've seen the War Machine arc reactor on the 1:1 bust) it still looks nice and the blue tinge will certainly come into play once the lights are turned out for a nice blue glow. As for the more reflective faceplate that we saw on Legacys website, well I'm guessing it was an early prototype/sample maybe? The official pics of this MKVII have always been the same from when we first saw it at SDCC12 and now these latest pics from the London Toy Fair confirms that it will stay the same.

I wasn't a fan if the reflective look...it was never that shiny in the movies...with that said, I would have liked to have seen a more metallic faceplate than what we're getting...but hey ho...I still can't wait to add this to my collection :rock

Would love to have seen this metallic finish to the faceplate

This was just way too reflective for my liking

Thanks for the input! I'd love to see it look more metallic as well.

I do have this guy on preorder, but I can't stand the blue arc.

How recent is that photo?

Only a few days old...it was taken at the London UK Toy Fair which ends today. Was hoping to have got down there myself but to be honest, I'd rather just wait and see the bust when its officially finalised and ready for despatch...it may or may not be the finalised product...either way, its not too dissimilar from the Sideshow's stock pictures on their order page so I doubt that there will be any drastic changes to this version apart from possibly paint apps...I'm still looking forward to receiving this :rock besides, I've got the Iron Man MKVI LSB arriving today so I'd rather get home as quick as possible!!! :lol
