It would be great if it were 2 films, but as Tom says it sounds like the Daily Mail trying to create something out of nothing.

There are 2 huge digressions at the end of the book that completely derail the momentum and would be death for a film adaptation. If they do 2 films I can see them leaving them in, but with a single film they'd have to work around them.

I'm not a fan of breaking this up. They did OotP in one film. It was the longest book, but shortest film. Sure they left out a lot, but I felt it still worked rather well. I only would have lengethend the final battles though.

WB seems like they just figured out they could make twice as much if they cut it in half. Probably kicking themselves now for not cutting them all in half, or at least from GoF onward.

Awesome!!! I was talking aboutthis a few weeks ago with my GF. But I said they needed to do this before the kids get too old. The same goes for the Narnia movies. The movie makers need to start pumping them out like the LOTR movies.
