2 are still out there but sadly there is NO CHANCE IN HELL anyone will find them on the shelves. They will either go to dealers or be sold out the back door of the store. My guess is all 3 go to dealers.

Where the hell does that come from?

Have you paid heavily for a fig in the past and are retaliating by posts like this or something?

I think he's right... I worked at K-Mart when I was younger and there were stockers in the back who would open up cases of toys (usually Hot Wheels) and cherry-pick the rare or hard to find figures and either pocket them to resell later or sell certain customers the right to buy them. It was really pretty jacked up and with something like this I can guarantee every store that stocks these has someone looking out for the figure.

Really the best chance of a private collector actually getting one of these (w/o resorting to this auction or shady deals) is if they were able to order sealed cases.

Yeah but what you are saying still means there is chance in the way these are sold, instead of McF selling "that" case to a dealer for a a premium since that contains the coveted figure like Madden is trying to make us believe. I mean that must be the most biased opinion ever!

Oh, I see what you mean. No I don't think McF is selling the right to own... at least I hope not.

I have never paid heavily for a figure. I am just saying that none of the 3 will be found by a "normal" collector hanging on a peg in a store. They will all go to dealers or be sold out the back door by the stock boy. I don't think McFarlane is dumb enough to risk these not being found or heavily publicized.

You sir are 100% CORRECT, seen stuff like that happen for many a year with my own eyes. Especially during the "LIMITED RUN:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl DAYS" of Hasbro Star Wars stuff during the 1990's.

Yep, I remember guys removing those figures from cases as well... funny how none of that stuff is worth much nowadays :lol

Interesting in that there are only 5 of this Ruth figure. I wonder how much this bad bad will end at.

I don't know why they call these chase figures when they only make a couple and the dealers suck them up before they hit the shelves.

It would be nice to have if you could afford it and you were a big time Babe Ruth collector, which I'm not.

Who knows how much we'd pay for a grail if we were millionaires.

I agree, the other two will never hang on a peg anywhere.

I would bid on this but i think the white hat looks better. The blue washes out the babe's natural alcoholic tint.

He could still swing a heavy duty bat and hit it out of the park, drunk or hung over!

yeah, he was the man. steroids???i think not, try 27 fish and a six pack.
