Try Duvel, Leffe, Westmalle, West-Vleteren, Orval, Chimay, ...

I've tried all but the Westvletren 12. It's damn near impossible to get over here and those damn monks are so stingy with it. :lol Just kidding of course, I actually think it's pretty cool the way they operate, it just makes it ridiculously hard to get some in the states. If you got a hook up on some drop me a line.

Never tried Earthmonk and Westvleteren.. Never even heard of them. We have a line of cool pubs called "Bishop's Finger"... They have pretty much everything there! All kinds of Belgian awesomeness which is never for sale in the alcohol store.

Btw, have you guys tried Delirium?

I've had Delirium and enjoy it.

I'm interested in seeing if the Earthmonk lives up to the hype. The Westvleteran 12 is considered by many to be the holy grail of beers. Consistently ranking #1 by most publications year in and year out, but so little is made each year and there's so many restrictions on selling it that's it's damn near impossible to find for me living in the U.S. I'm not sure if the rarity adds to the taste experience because in your head you're drinking something that's almost impossible to come by, but I'm interested to put that theory to test. Read up on the story of it if and you'll see why it's hard to get.

I'd rather try Westvleteren Blond 6°... 12 is well.. ok, but I wouldn't buy a crate of those! :naughty

Hey, just found this site.. They seem to have Westvletern.. Gonna try ordering a few bottles and see how much shipping would cost.

Tempted to get the crate too! :naughty

I guess shipping to the states would be even more!

You know I love the stephaner but you had to post the pic anyway. I may have to go pick some up now:monkey5

I think I'll crack open the St. Bernadus tonight. I'm looking for the Moinette Blonde by Dupont Brasserie but it's hard to find around here as well. I had it for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was great. Another awesome Belgium.

Cheers dude! They also had Samuel Adams Octoberfest beer.. But only in small bottle.. I like big! :naughty:banana

i own a bar in canada (mayne island, british columbia to be exact) and this is our best selling beer at the moment. a 650ml bottle with a whopping 11% alcohol content. ill gladly send you one if you wish its like drinking a 6 pack at once. they also make a double chocolate porter which is to die for.

Now a part of the regular Phillips family, the Surly Blonde keeps watch over a bottle chock filled with funky Belgian flavours and lots of alcohol! We brew this with a handful of herbs to give a very distintive note when the beer is young, and leave a bit of yeast in it so that it is able to mature over time, building complexity for the procrastinating (ie, patient) aficionado.

This stuff is pretty good. It was rated pretty highly at the liquor store I picked it up at.

Ožujsko is a very famous beer from Croatia. They are currently the sponsor of their national football (soccer) team. :)
