@ Levit05: There's no electronic my friend, just some welds to do properly, you know. Not a big deal in fact, but you have to beware not wanting to go fast.

@ work13: Yep, Classic is supposed to match with HT version. Here is my process:
First layer = Aluminium (applied with an airbrush)
Second layer = 1 unit Polished Brass + 2 units of steel (applied with a small foam pad) to give that grainy aspect which is specific of Hot Toys. Then Micromesh when dried.
Finish = dark gray wash + varnish satin

@ P.: So, as I was just saying, only the Classic is with this grainy aspect because it is supposed to match with HT version. This variant is intended for collectors displeased by the design of HT's helmet but whom not wishing to go further in customization of their figure.

Amazing Baloo! Thankyou for sharing your technique. How did you learn that? Did you learn from someone else to do it? Or did you learn on your own through trial and error? If it were me, it'd probably take me hours of trying different things to get just the right effect. You are very talented sir. Thanks again for sharing your awesome work with us on this thread.

Thierry, you should make some Stormtrooper 1:6 helmet to show Sideshow how it has to be done. To give them a lesson in quality. And maybe even a 1:4 Premium Format Stormtrooper helmet, Sideshow's is just a scaled up of the inaccurate looking 1:6 one.

In fact, I started customizing the helmet of my Darth Vader figure before I tackle the biomask of the Predator... I would have to finish it.
But what I dislike most of all with the Sideshow figures are the joints too loose!
