I am absolutely livid right now.
I stood in the line to purchase one of the busts for over an hour. As I got near the table, the redshirt said that they were down to six. There were 5 in front of me, and I was number 6. No problem.
As the 5 pay in front of me, this guy comes walking right up to the register and says "I was here and I want to buy one." Now, this guy was not in line. A number of people started yelling because he wasn't in line.
The lady at the register turns to the the redshirt and says "what do I do?" to which the redshirt says "I don't know - sell it to him" So she does, and I'm stuck with my money in hand and now they are sold out.
I was pissed - this guy just walks up and they sell him the last one after they told me I was the last? WTF? Gentle Giant is going to hear about this.

It isn't that they should have handled it better, but they should not have allowed someone to just walk up. The cashier was reaching for my money as he walked up. Even if he was in line - if he got out, then it is his loss. Does GG have a phone number?

I argued with the guy, but they kept saying "tomorrow there will be 100 more." At one point I said "well, make it 99, then"
I wouldn't have left that spot till they sold me one.

Nash you my friend will not be one of those upset people. I am happy to report that I was able to get all 4. Before anyone gripes here goes it. I have sold 3 on Ebay to pay off my credit card and part of my Lasik. I just couldn't pass it up and really needed the money. The 4th was promised to Nash. To be fair he was the first person that made me an offer. A simple trade for the Gree bust that I would rather have. I dont collect stuff from the Clone Wars. Sorry you guys had a hard time. I would say go early tomorrow. Me and my wife were in line an hour and five minutes early and they were down to 3 or 4 boxes of 8. So we just made it.

A very fun (and more expensive thanks to a few great prints I couldn't pass up) day. It really sux that Adam got sick because he was one of the main reasons I wanted to go. Hope you feel better AH.
I was there and had a great time...though it's really more of a comic-con you could do in one day than two...but oh well. I really didn't end up buying all that much, just about two comics, a trade paperback (Dark Horse's ALIENS vs. PREDATOR OMINBUS! 
) and an Alien litho signed by Arthur Suydam. I was actually very surprised that Suydam had some Alien artwork, he had about 3-4 of them and they were awesome! I really regret not getting more.
For those after the Bacara busts, did you guys check the the SHOW EXCLUSIVES stand right next to the Image Comics' booth (Frank Cho, Scott Kurtz, etc. were there)? They had a few Bacara boxes right behind them and had Bacara there on the list of their show exclusives for sale.

And let me say that the GG booth (if you can even call it that) was pathetic. They had the Clones, a few HP busts, Frodo & Sam, and them some other small crap. That was it. Nothing new, nothing recently announced. No Potter PF's, nothing even worth looking at. They would've had a better showing leading people to my house and showing them my GG pieces than the crap they had on display there.

Your not kidding and it took me and hour to get my pre-orders. What a pain. I am more upset that I didn't get to meet any Freaks. Damn! I thought a yellow button down dress shirt would be obvious. Did anyone see the Hellgirl! Yowsa! She was hot! There was also a blond with short hair with the big ones walking around with a guy with a mowhawk. LOL!
