Ah gotcha, bandai should do the 1/4 scale. They would sell like hot cakes.

oh yeah ! It would be awesome.. they have those character kits but I think they are 1/12 or something like that

That's the MR Falcon he's repainting.. I also asked him to paint my Bandai Falcon.

I mean yeesh like 8 colors for that one area lol I can do the look but that's a lot of colors and I'd never know if it's off or right myself. Why did they have to make it so complicated. It's like if you are a little off people will make fun of your work, best to just not post pix :rotfl

No two Millennium Falcons built for production of the films are the same. They built 2 for ANH (full scale profile and 5'), 4 for TESB (complete full scale, 32", 12", 2"), 2 for TFA (full scale profile and digital), and so far we know they've built s a new complete full scale for TLJ. That's not even counting interiors.

Apart from a reasonable approximation of the colored panel marking the weathering on each ship is unique. The battle damage is different. The greebles are different. It doesn't matter. You just try to get the right "look". That's all ILM went for.

The Falcon is as much a character as much as Luke, Han or Leia. Unlike Star Trek with it's alphabet soup of Enterprises there is only one Millennium Falcon and JJ better not blow it up.

Agreed! If JJ blows up the Falcon, all hell will break loose.

I had a hard time deciding on this or the Deagostini and right about now I'm starting to regret putting my pre-order in on this one. Not sure why, the detail is amazing.

I considered the Deagostini for a while but am very glad I decided on the 1/72 Bandai. The ANH Falcon is the ultimate version of the ship in my opinion.

I'm quite nervous about painting it, but you have to paint the Deag anyway.
What also appeals are the other ships at 1/72 and eventually putting them all together- I have the 1/72 X-Wing, Tie and Y-Wing waiting to be made. I just need some spare time!!!

I cancelled the DeAg F midway through when this came out. I am glad, also. Having the MR Falcon, didn't need to have 2 studio scales. This one is a perfect size for me and it's taken from the 5 footer. Def the DeAg will be impressive in size though. And people who don't have the MR, well there you go. What I built from the DeAg was quite impressive. On the side corridor from the cockpit, you'll have to come up with something so the light doesn't leak through the wall.

PS. To people who are interested, Randy Cooper is done his updated ISD Avenger. Looks AMAZING and will be BIG( over 4feet). I believe he's taking orders this week at 750USD plus shipping. Exciting.
