I didn't really get off topic in here. We are talking about Bank Robber Joker's head after all. It's not like there are a bunch of Arnold clips and quotes like a few weeks back.

great pics Snake. yeah, this thread seriously got derailed.

Question, is it just the pics, or his his suit brown? I thought it was grey.

Thanks. Yeh, it does look a bit brown there, but not if you look at the shoes. Just the background setting it off I guess.

I put 'slightly off topic', and it was not aimed at you. Just generally, as this is a photo thread afterall.

That's what these forums are for.

There are also a few RPGs on ebay also. As far as I know that's all he really needs to be complete, a watch, a shotgun, and the RPG.

The shotgun from the Party Scene was a sawed-off double barrel, right?

Nice setup. If I ever manage to get the rest of the TDK figures I'll probably do something similar. Also, that V1 head looks a bit lonely down there, lol.

Sorry if I actually offended anyone... I wasn't trying offended anyone. And for those that know be on this board; know I'm never, if ever am one to rock the boat. But the thing is, any QC issue with adhesive are usually easy to fix and nothing to fret about, I mean what are Hot Toy’s QC staff supposed to do, yank and pull their figure to almost breaking point?... I mean look at the abhorrent QC issue with the Medicom’s Dragonball line and how the plastic used is breaking down... Now that's something to be upset about, really upset about!

A connector ring isn't the worst thing that could happen to your figure. Also, anyone that doesn't gently heat a head before removing it… Is taking a big risk, imo, as you could either stretch the spring in the neck joint or rip the connector ring, as some have. You have to remember that, sure these are $150USD figures, but they're still made out of plastic and can be broken rather easily, if not handled with the upmost of care. Some figures are of Museums like quality and need to be handled as if they were!

Also, I take a lot of care of my figures and collection, but from time to time, figures have broken or whatnot, it's never the end of the world, you can always, find another body, or accessory on eBay or from another generous board member (which we have in abundance here at SSF). That's what makes this such a great hobby... A lot of the time you can customise or fix things you don’t like about the figure and make them better. I just think that sometime "we" can take this hobby too seriously... Why so serious?

And again I’m sorry if I’ve offend anyone… I obviously went about it the wrong way…
But for all who have broken the neck ring, cheerup Charlie Brown and turn that frown upside down and get yourself some superglue!!! :D

As I've mentioned before, I used to use this technique for just about every figure since it was first announced years ago and guess what ended up happening to those figures? The plastic ended up warping and cracking in a few places and you find out that you ended up making some deformities in the plastic (cuts, lines, warping, discoloration). It works for immediate satisfaction but it doesn't really help the figure in the long run.

Boil n' Pop? I don't recommend that one... I use a blow-dryer on a low heat, but I wrap the head in a small dry towel and let it heat up real slowly, as soon as it's a tad too hot to hold the towel around it, I remove it... and then I über gently wobble, twist and pull the head off, whilst brassing the neck joint... I've torn heads off nude figures I've brought just of the body and they've always seem to rip if I haven't heated them... But that never bothers me as I don't care about them. ;)

I've used the blow-dryer technique too, same thing.

That's a shame you've experience warpping and discolouration... But at the end of the day, the joint needs to be tight and the ring coming out of the next is not the biggest distrastor that can happen... Its a quick superglue repair! ;)

Awesome Pictures NightCreeper!!!

I found the Joker heads didn't really need heating to get them off the body. And I've been using the blow dryer method for about 10 years now and there was never any long term damage to either the head or body.
