hey link ,not sure where you are but just found these on amazon uk in stock and ready to ship now ,canceled my usa order and paid for uk expedited postage should have bats by monday lol

Nice, Im in Texas, I might just wait and go to my local store on the 20th, I think that is the release date. I do want to see it in hand. I plan on using the Commando body and put the costume on it, see how it looks.

got mine about a hour ago ,been messing around with him ,tried a man of steel body too long in the torso ,could cut suit at waist and add a add some fabric or tape it shut and cover with the belt possibly ,but i went for a max agresion figure ,more muscular and shorter torso ,
the mattel figures not too terrible and has a surprise or two ,movie masters zod arms ,muscular tors with a overlay even more muscular front piece with the suit and emblem attached to it ,anyway heres the pictures ,poor light and over excited that's my excuse lol
suit is good and has a little stretch
mask nice and soft almost rubbery
boots soft and have a split in the back to help them fit on the feet
belt good
gauntlets really soft rubbery stuff too small for max aggression as is , but would fit other figures
capes really good

sorry for the crap pictures but the lights not good and my phone isnt the best for pictures ,keep in mind this was just thrown together and i cant really see what im doing ,but should help any that were interested in using barbie bats for a custom or suit display to decide if it meets your requirements,
ill finish him up tomorrow and take a couple of better picture

lights a little better but my phone and pictures are still crap lol ,but should give anyone interested ,not sure anyone is lol ,a idea if this would work for them as kitbash material

messing around with the cowl ,tried the adam west face plates in for a laugh ,but they didnt look too bad to me anyway lol

and with the ken ben head ,it would look better with a repaint or a bit os 5 o'clock shadow ,and black round the eyes ,but i might go down the face plate route ,see whats out there that fits something like ,got the barbie glove cuffs to fit ,and just painted some hands

I think that actually has potential.
The adam west face plate looks better as it fits the mouth area better.
I think it also needs an eye area face plate cause the ken face is too small and the area where they eyes are supposed to be are too low.

but overall, I take back what I said...lol...this actually doesnt look too shabby with a body conversion.
Heck, maybe replacing the cowl with the HT when its available might give the whole HT figure a run for its money.

The suit looks excellent- the body is much better than I thought it would be..for the price it's a bargain..I may just leave mine in the box...LOL

Got mine last week an started today on the changes

Iv used the custom wolverine body of ebay

And repainted the sculpt but. I'm thinking Adam west face plates with batfleck eyes

Face needs a repaint or something lol its so hard to paint a barbie head the rubber like plastic is rubbish

So might go down a different root

looks great mate ,its a fantastic starter kit for $40 ,
i repainted the face and blacked around the eyes and cut out the face section ,i thought the full head was deforming the nice look of the empty cowl ,not sure it really made any improvement but i like it better lol

cut out a ben chin from a marvel studios daredevil ,its fits fairly well just need a eye donor now

Yeh dude its an ace starter kit it cost me £48.00 including post to uk so not bat really .
I think I might use the adam west mouth peice and cut out the eyes from the face and fill the back of the cowl in . I'm gonna mess around a little more .
Is that a mattel armour batman ?

its most of him lol , i cut him up and dremeled him hollow and fitted him over a hot toys zod suit on a bulky / slim hybrid body , re caped him and repainted ,it was a lot more work than i expected but looks better than i expected so a fair trade off in the end lol

I'm doing something similar to what you did, Libby. But I decided to keep the mattel body (it has a really good range of articulation in the elbows) and put the armor from the mattel on that one. I almost considered doing it in a way so it was possible to keep the regular batman suit and put on the armor as a removable piece but the cowl was too big.
I decided to dremel the helmet as well and put on the affleck mouth into it and I like how it is turning out. Still dremelling a LOT of stuff out but maybe tomorrow I'll have some pics out. I don't know why i'm going through this since I PO'ed the hot toys one but i love how it is turning out so far.

cheers pal yeah its a great place to start a kit bash ,probably the first time i ever used almost every thing that came with the barbie ,and they seem to fit a wide array of body styles as shown by reedem s pics the rubber gauntlets fit perfect on the figure he used and still look passable on the bulky wrestler body i used ,as do the boots belt etc .great work mattel keep them coming lol
