Re: Baroness Premium Format

I normally despise PFs but so far this one looks pretty damn good.

Re: Baroness Premium Format

I am new to female statues. What is the a$$ talk about?

The butt looks awesome or do they mess it up in final production or something?

Go look at the Rogue PF in the Marvel section.

And her butt isn't even that bad, yes it could have been the proto, but it still looks good in person, the paint apps are what sucked the most.

And that is just one statue out of many incredibly sexy ladies they have made, I have no doubts this will be perfect when she arrives.

Re: Baroness Premium Format

Rogue's butt was sculpted, but this one has a mixed material bodysuit over the sculpted butt.

Re: Baroness Premium Format

OK . . . so how many of us actually pre-ordered her?

I did.

I ordered the Ex with Flexpay and used reward points. :yess:

Re: Baroness Premium Format

I've stuck to just the figures and avoided the PFs and statues in this line, but Baroness looks like a winner. I may just get the Reg of this one, since I prefer her with the Aug (plus I can save $30-40). Only issues I have with this piece so far is the head and paint on it look cartoon-ish and the prices of PFs are jumping big time. If the production pieces get "Rogued", I think a good repaint could fix her and give her a nice realistic look (hopefully the head is removable).

Re: Baroness Premium Format

Ahh yes but brotha Leo, but look how close u would have to be to see it? It's almost zoomed 4 times. I like this piece and I can't wait to get this next year.

Right bra..And they'll probably glue those glasses to her nose in the final version..Baroness is probably THE hottest PF ever made..my only BIG concern is Sideshow omitting the usual 360 and backshots of her culo on the website which is usually bad omen...Don't know why Sideshow is doing this to the lady statues as of late...:dunno

Re: Baroness Premium Format

I think she looks great, but the $350 price doesn't sit well with me. She's small and not overly complicated. Just like Tarkin this is a PF I wouldn't mind having but not enough to pay a much higher price, if she were $280 I'd have her right beside my Cobra Commander PF. If they did Low-Light at this pricepoint he would be mine, but I don't see SS making a PF with an edition size of 50.

I don't do GI Joe collectable's.... But I do now... Phew, nice ...

MRB

I can certainly see why you would start "doing" "GI Joe" after seeing this, brother :lol:lol:lol :duff

Just like CC PF, looks awesome but at 350$ Plus shipping and duties, no way Im getting into this line

Re: Baroness Premium Format

Very nice :clap

The only things I have an issue with are:

1.) The hair is very plastic/toy looking. It needs a little more sculpting/detail and a better paint app.
2.) I agree with others that the top section of her "leg armor" is too wide, and needs to be narrower.
3.) Switch out glasses would have been nice.

1 & 3 arent too big of a deal, as I can "fix" #1 and I will make a switch out set of tinted square glasses for her. but I cant really fix #2.

I really like her switch out hand though, as I always picture her with pistol-type firearms in my mind, so the EX is a no-brainer for me.

I must have missed that criticism but its a valid point. Hard to do simple things like sitting or riding when your boots flare out that far. :lol

What it lacks in function it certainly makes up for in form though.

The original computer rendering does seem to have the best pose, rifle, and boots but what we ended up with (as a prototype at least) is still pretty damn badass. I'm glad they ditched the concept's rectangular glasses at least.
