Kate is too slim to play Zarana or Lady Jaye. If u saw her in Underworld wearing that leather costume, Baroness is a perfect match.
However, I agree with Hunnipot. Sienna was perfect for playing the baroness also. Both her and Kate have a similar body size and style and that's being petite. Monica Bellucci is not a petite woman.

I've seen all UNDERWORLD films and Kate as Selene in the first two films in no way comes off resembling THE BARONESS . . . to me anyway.
Back in the day . . . Famke Janssen would have been perfect for THE BARONESS.

The role went to Sienna, but the first film is still a piece of crap turd. No matter how much you try to polish it and hide/mask it's stench. It's still a piece of crap turd.
The first GI JOE film IMHO was ruined by the lame@$$ story . . . casting of Marlon Wayans as Ripcord . . . completely screwing up the COBRA COMMAND doctor whatever origin . . . misfire casting of Channing Tatum as Duke . . . complete <CENSORED>up direction by Stephen Sommers . . . casting of Marlon Waylans as Ripcord.
One key problem with the first GI JOE film is the fact that it took too damn long to get the big screen treatment when certain actors were still ideal/prime for key characters.
I will say GI JOE very likely would have been a better film if Michael Bay got his hands on it . . . and we'll probably see a GI JOE VS TRANSFORMERS film on the horizon in a few years if not sooner. You either love or hate Michael Bay, but at least he knows how to do military style action with excessive & over the top flair & style and we all enjoy it even if the script is crap.
Given what I read & seen about the in production sequel . . . it so far appears & sounds better than the first one. I just hope they don't totally go ninja crazy with it based I what I read.
We can continue to debate/discuss THE BARONESS all we want, but Sienna Miller IMHO did not portray a worthwhile BARONESS and Kate would not have made a worthwhile BARONESS, but Monica could have very likely made a more worthwhile BARONESS. As for Catherine Zeta-Jones . . . she's too old and a bit too pompous nowadays to portray THE BARONESS. Maybe at least 10 or so years ago she could have been great as THE BARONESS.
What's next? The Crimson Guard Commanders TOMAX & XAMOT will be re-envisioned as female twins for possibly the third GI JOE sequel played by the Olsen twins . . . or . . . Sean & Marlon Wayans in drag ala WHITE CHICKS?

^^ yah Sienna miller is such a big girl compared to Kate? Sienna is 5'6" 120lbs and Kate is 5'8" 115lbs. Monica Bellucci is 5'7" at 143lbs. She is also about 10 years the senior to both Sienna & Kate. Monica does not make a better Baroness. Nuff said!

Toss some glasses on her and she's perfect. The only reason she had to be as young as she was in the flick is because the ____ing retarded writers made her Duke's ex fiancé. If they'd kept closer to the source material, at her age, she would've perfectly matched Eccleston's McCullen.
