If their intent was to pay homage to an older Babs, they shouldve just went with the Grey and blue suit. But yeah it is a weak definition of Exclusive.

It's to make the later black repaint work with this one. Still lame ex :(. Worst ever in my opinion.

Someday you will eventually accept that it is ok for people to want to buy statues with a promised edition size and not be surprised by second-tear variants that sit in stock for months and are basically just a shady way for a company to increase sales when they realize something performed better sales-wise than anticipated. Sorry, but green Ivy does not look good imo. She looks like She-hulk or something. Sure, the proto looks fine but we havent seen the production green Ivy yet. The original Ivy, was, well, ORIGINAL. Sideshow is amazing creatively, and it would be awesome for them to break the molds and make NEW statues of our favaorite characters for us all to collect. That is what I am hoping for. I would be elated for them to do a PF PVC line too so long as they are numbered with no crappy shady surprise variants. Collectt all the variants you want, but I certainly wont be buying them or any of the original statues they are associated with. :pfft:

Believe it or not I don't disagree with you about Ivy or the whole variants issue. I didn't the first time you brought it up, nor the 600 or so other times you complained about it. I'm not going to throw a tantrum and refuse to buy statues I like over it, but at the same time I think it's boarderline shady for companies to engage in that practice. It's your incessant whining about edition size I disagree with. :wink1:

Pretty much nothing hold values nowadays. Used to it by now. Just need to be super selective and buy characters really want. :)

You'd NEVER get one? If there was a character you would hypothetically buy, who'd it be?

No one.

Maybe they are loaded and have money to burn.

I'm poor enough to know that $20 is pennies.

So anyone expecting/hoping for a variant down the road with different colors?

They should have saved the curls for that. Otherwise, I'm sure old school fans would love it.

On Statue Forum most people hate variants.

And?

Not sure why some people are FOR them on this forum.

I prefer Ivy with green skin. Her eyes are going to look better as well.

Hmm, a lot about the "value" but not about how one perceives and would prefer to see the character. Completely different mind sets about collecting I guess. I didn't see a lot of people complaining about the Ivy variant.

That's because they did all their complaining on SF, I guess. For myself, the dollar value of the first Ivy was only significant in that it would finance my purchase of the new Ivy. In my estimate, her esthetic value is far less by comparison.

Tonner already nailed the colors, too. :wink1:
