It's a bit weird imho. I don't see anything specific out of place in the piece itself, but the pose is awkward, the way the cape is placed under the cowl is awkward too (is the head sculpt removable? Can the cape be adjusted?). Overall, it gives me the impression of being "dull", it might be the pictures, but I wasn't feeling this statue from the beginning... at the same time, tho, I find body proportions spot on and the costume is top notch, can't tell by the pics but I guess that texturing remained the same.

I agree that there is a very split opinion about this piece. I actually like the pose even though I agree its unconventional. I have been POing a lot of Batman lately so I like that it has a unique pose in relation to other Batman pieces I have already or on PO. The paintjob is really nice though...I can't find any bleeding, chips, blemishes, etc. It might just be an easy paintjob but I have nothing bad to say about this piece. It helps that I used rewards on it and got it for a nice discount:lol

Ok, crappy lighting iphone pics...you've been warned!

did this piece come out pretty quick???

It's like they just put it up for PO 6 months ago...

Looks great.

I really like those pics! I'm done for '15, so I hope this guy is still available come next year. He's currently at the top of my maybe pile, having recently demoted the masked Pred bust.

I really love him! he has a great presence IMO and he is pretty flawless. I was sort of leaning towards maybe selling him for other Batman goods but now that Sideshow is doing gift cards, I will probably get plenty of funds for future POs this holiday season:lol

I think the figure turned out really well. Love the weathering in particular. Not sure if better futzing can make the cape look better, but it looks decent enough.

Looks good Sarakawa, thanks for sharing the pics. Other than the cape is he fully sculpted, I was never sure from the SS pics if his suit was sculpted or material

The body turned out flawless IMO. The suit has a nice texture to it as well. Really can't find anything bad to say about this since I really have no issue with the pose.

Also, how does this compare to other 1:4 pieces, size wise? I've seen some pieces (like MoS PF) that look ridicolously undersized near other PFs. I know the first Batman PF is oversized so not looking for a comparison with that one :D

I don't have him next to the other Batman statues so not sure but he feels beefy compared to my xmen statues. The base makes him feel even larger cuz its pretty elevated. I would say he's slightly smaller than the comic PF but definitely larger than say Keaton bats. I also have the 1/4 hot toys bale bats and he's larger than him for sure.

Thanks mate! This is growing on me and doesn't happen often. If some funds come by I'll probably try to snag him.
