I think i'm gonna pic up the prelude graphic novel, anyone here go it?

I bought the single issues when they were coming out and really enjoyed them would like to pick up the graphic novel so i can get the digital chapters too, but begrudge buying the lot again
but yeah, it works as a good intro to the game. Definitely worth reading.

Which is why I went with Amazon. Their exclusive was those digital issues in one comic. I figured you can't DLC a comic :lol

Really? I dont think Amazon UK had that. I went with the HMV because their exclusive was the comic, which i assumed was the full comic hopefully including the digital chapters (thinking like you; you cant DLC a comic, unlike all the skins etc), but it turned out it was just issue #1. Was soooo disappointed.

I hate catwoman's controls !.
Especially when jumping down from vantage points on " top of the world " trying to land on one of the balconies.

I'm actually finding Catwoman a lot of fun to play as, although it can be tricky as her when encountering groups of 3 or more armed thugs.

My only real dislike is the animation they use when she jumps over large distances between buildings.... not really keen on the way she 'freefalls' before cracking out the whip. Wish they'd used a big leaping maneuver instead as it would convey a sense of covering more distance.

I got the hardcover that collects all the issues and the digital chapters too. Also I recommend you guys to buy the bradygames guid, JUST for the character models and artwork. The game really doesnt need any hints, but the guidebook has some beutiful bios and art from the game.

I really like playing as Catwoman too, like how agile she is, and how different from Batman it is. The "freefall" thing did bother me a bit at first but i actually quite like it. Although it is a bit annoying when you cant do the sort of quick getaway like when batman grapples up to get away. Really wanna download the Nightwing and Robin packs now too.

Off topic sfa, i read The Demon Laughs recently (dont know if you remember we were talking about it in the DC new 52 thread), was pretty good, although i felt the end seemed a bit...rushed. Like it suddenly ended half heartedly.

I enjoyed the Catwoman segments, i would've like the story to be a bit more meaningful.

The only thing i didn't really like was the "good" "too late" "too early" things on her scaling a structure.

Yeah, as much as i enjoyed the catwoman sections, i really expected more of them. Given how much it was advertised etc.

Arkham Asylum and Arkham City combo pack $28.00 at Chinamart :yess:

Happy I waited, now lets see if I like the games.

Should I play them in order, or go straight to AC?

Never played either one so thanks for the advise, I will do just that.

Which is the better overall game, with story and the actual gameplay elements.

AA is a better story, but AC is better in gameplay. Everything that worked in AA they made better and added more cool stuff on top of that. They are both fantastic games and you got the steal of the decade getting them both for that price in that wal-mart bundle! 2 of the best games I've ever played.

I think the Joker was a more prominent character in the first game, just more entertaining and funnier. That's the one thing I missed with the sequel.

The BradyGames guide is great. But, buy it from Wal-Mart and it is a combo-guide for both Arkham City and Arkham Asylum ... for the same price. Good art included in the AA section, too.

Oh yeah, I remember talking about that with you a short while back! I'll PM you my thoughts on it so as not to derail this thread too much (since I'm liable to write an essay on it haha!)

You should definitely download the Robin/Nightwing packs for AC. They both have a completely different feel to Batman and Catwoman, but they are fun to play as. Nightwing is especially fun to play with in the combat challenges - he has a good balance of power, agility and speed.

Back to Catwoman, one thing I do like about her that I miss when playing as Batman is her speed. It's definitely noticeable that she's faster in almost all aspects, but most especially her running is much faster than Batman.

Hey guys. I just opened up my AC and got the Robin pack and installed it. Now how to I play as Robin? I did the same for Catwoman and was able to play it at the beginning of the story. I can't find where to play Robin.
