Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum 2

Maybe 2010 but likely 2011.

I remember Arkham Asylum 1 was announced as the official Dark Knight tie in game back in 2007, then in like 08 they announced it'd be its own game.(not a tie in)

But they already have the engine built now so it depends just what they decide to change.

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum 2

I really hope it is 2010! It seems like other games have been able to crank out sequels relatively quickly. Of course, speed usually means leads to a lack of quality, but would seem they've already gotten Mark Hamill back and recorded. So the script and recordings could be finished already or close to. It is probably just working on the animation and other aspects of the game then. Or maybe I'm just being an optimist.

I'm pretty sure those are two different games. The Dark Knight tie-in was canned. EA was working on it, but it just wasn't going the way they wanted. They tried very hard to not make it a cash-in, as most movie games are. They tried to put it out before they lost the license. However thankfully, they did and their contract expired, and everyone was happy because Eidos picked up the rights to Batman, and gave us AA.

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum 2

Can't wait, loved the first(game of the year IMO) and the second looks great from what I saw.

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum 2

Nice.
Can't wait too see how this one turns out
Was thinking about picking Up Arkham Asylum 1 before Christmas. Should I still pick it up, or just Wait for Arkham Asylum 2???

If you have a rental program rent it.. Its not worth buying IMO. It doesnt really have a lot of replay value unless you really like button mashers. Its a fun game but I cant see paying that much for a game your going to ply through and then not play much if at all ever again.

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum 2

Great news. Arkham Asylum definitely ranks in the top few games I've ever played. I hope they don't change the controls too much, I thought they were pretty spot on.

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum 2

I cannot believe Mark Hamill lost to Jack Black for best voice acting.
Black just does himself.
I swear they give these awards out just to get the celebs on.
Award to Megan Fox? Brother.....

Definitely, definitely pick up no.1. It's quite simply a must-have.

So excited for this! Wicked how they've announced it so soon.

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum 2

Awesome.

Love the blacker make up around his eyes and the crumbling symbol reminiscent of the TDK teaser trailer.

I think I shall pick it up
Want to be up to speed by the time Arkham Asylum 2 is released :D

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum 2

Amen to that, plus I'm sure it's going to reference the first one. So play through it now and save yourself some spoilers.

:rock :rock :rock

I'm really looking forward to this and I'm glad to see the Joker back! And still beat up! He was even missing the tooth like at the end of the game! Very cool to see that wasn't just a gag. The black around the eyes is new too. Very Ledger Jokerish.

And it looked like Harley was right
Mr.J came for her after she was locked in the penetentiary

and thats the sad reason why they brought him back, for the sake of the DK fanboys. The thug/enemies also look the same. I guess every bad guy in gotham city wears clown masks. I was really hoping for two face this time around, as hinted in the ending.

exactly, the show is "fake", it's all politics.

two face will be there you can see him on a poster in the trailer, looks like uncle Sam but if you pause it you can very easily tell it's twoface. if you go to arkhamhasmoved.com they have a ripped version of the same poster where, again, you can tell its twoface

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum 2

Yep, from the trailer it seems to hint at Two-Face, The Penguin, Black Mask, Harley Quinn & Joker being in the game so far.
