That's why I'm waiting for a full Digital Foundry analysis. Some areas look REALLY nice, while some are just plain weird. Plus no word on the frame rate yet.

Question: are the cutscenes rendered in UE4, or are they just remastered? I'm just curious as it would be cool if skins showed up in cutscenes this time around.

The cutscenes are rendered in U4, but they're NOT in real time so don't expect skins to carry over.

Don't get me wrong, it looks nice in some areas. The rain in Asylum is very cool. But then there's crap like changin' the tone from blue to green, replacin' the faces and even costume designs.

It looks like Catwoman's bust was shrunk. Why?!?! :monkey4

I didn't expect real time cutscenes now, but that does suck.

Looks like from what the folks who've gotten their copies, it looks real damn good, especially City, but the awkward changes are still there. I for one, don't like the new AA Batman's face- there's something very rugged and menacing about how he originally looked in Asylum, but now he kinda looks like a roided' Val Kilmer. :lol

I don't mind new Bats' look. I've noticed a few of the characters look a tad more proportional to a normal human being. Batman's a bit less eggheaded, and Joker's chin seems to be less stretched. Also, Zach. PS4 for the friend's list, bro!:rock :lol

:lol :lol

I'll probably snag it on my PS4 as that's what I have Knight on. Has to look good on the shelf! :lol

I thought this was cancelled?! I'm not sure if I will repurchase this although I enjoyed the series. What did come of that Rocksteady Superman game? Is that also being further developed?

There hasn't been anything concrete, though there have been some rumors about another DC game being developed by WB. I figure the earliest we hear anything would probably be next year, after Injustice 2.

I think it's more just speculation that the big blue boyscout's next on the roster after Bats. The closest I can think to Rocksteady developing a Superman game, though, is a rumor that Supes was one of the two DC games WB Montreal was developing (ugh). I'd love to see what Rocksteady's Superman would look like, though.

Honestly, I've said it one million times before and I'll say it again: I think the key to a great Superman game or Green Lantern or Flash would be VR. People try to adapt these characters with spectacular powers to games and it just doesn't work, but, maybe, if you focus on creating an experience of being the hero. Put you in the driver's seat as you save a child from a burning building or explore the far reaches of space.

The facial texture looks worse. But other than that, this looks pretty good, what you can expect from remastered PS3 games.

I bit the bullet and just bought a physical copy. After seeing the improvements, I think I'm happy with it overall although I still think some changes are for the worse.

Now for the dreaded AC plat. Brr..

Pfft...AC Plat? Try getting 100%. That was...interesting.:lol Strangely, I'm okay with doing it again. There aren't a lot of games I'm looking forward to and the ones I do are pretty far off, so, I look forward to having something to do.

I don't think I'll be picking this up... I'm pretty sure I got some form of PTSD from the AC plat on the PS3 :lol.

Top of the World Extreme
anyone? :lol

AC is one of the toughest plats I have, and AA and AK were a walk in the park compared to this. Still, I'm quite excited to see if I could ever plat it again on PS4.

I know a friend who got 100% trophies. I think it's do-able but it takes a loooot of time. Plus, I can't deal with Riddler's taunting. :lol

What is it to Top of the World Extreme that made it so hard? The problem is that I noticed the game is stupidly finicky on giving you some medals, like this one medal in the museum map where you have to explosive gel a mook when he's getting weapons out of the box. Did this several times, no medal. There wasn't anything special to it, I just did the same exact thing but the game never registered it properly. And the AI gets bizarre outright...

I never even got the plat for Arkham City though, I could do it, but it's way too repetitive and annoying. I got close...but was sort of burn out. I completed Arkham Asylum 100%, played Origins, and was replaying City for Platinum stuff all in one year. Really wears on you :lol amongst...other games too.

They'd have to give it a different structure, and probably start out Superman as he is developing his powers. Unlike Batman, they can't just start out Superman at his peak. Batman works almost perfectly since he's very reliant on gadgets, like most video game characters are on their equipment. Spider-Man is also in a similar boat, which is why that future Insomniac game should be great. Sequels can start out Superman at the stage we know him at though, like how the Arkham sequels gave Batman nearly all of his gadgets from Asylum at the start.
