That's why I'm waiting for a full Digital Foundry analysis. Some areas look REALLY nice, while some are just plain weird. Plus no word on the frame rate yet.
Question: are the cutscenes rendered in UE4, or are they just remastered? I'm just curious as it would be cool if skins showed up in cutscenes this time around.
It looks like Catwoman's bust was shrunk. Why?!?!Don't get me wrong, it looks nice in some areas. The rain in Asylum is very cool. But then there's crap like changin' the tone from blue to green, replacin' the faces and even costume designs.
I didn't expect real time cutscenes now, but that does suck. The cutscenes are rendered in U4, but they're NOT in real time so don't expect skins to carry over.
I don't mind new Bats' look. I've noticed a few of the characters look a tad more proportional to a normal human being. Batman's a bit less eggheaded, and Joker's chin seems to be less stretched. Also, Zach. PS4 for the friend's list, bro!
I thought this was cancelled?! I'm not sure if I will repurchase this although I enjoyed the series. What did come of that Rocksteady Superman game? Is that also being further developed?
I don't think I'll be picking this up... I'm pretty sure I got some form of PTSD from the AC plat on the PS3 .
Pfft...AC Plat? Try getting 100%. That was...interesting. Strangely, I'm okay with doing it again. There aren't a lot of games I'm looking forward to and the ones I do are pretty far off, so, I look forward to having something to do.
They'd have to give it a different structure, and probably start out Superman as he is developing his powers. Unlike Batman, they can't just start out Superman at his peak. Batman works almost perfectly since he's very reliant on gadgets, like most video game characters are on their equipment. Spider-Man is also in a similar boat, which is why that future Insomniac game should be great. Sequels can start out Superman at the stage we know him at though, like how the Arkham sequels gave Batman nearly all of his gadgets from Asylum at the start.Honestly, I've said it one million times before and I'll say it again: I think the key to a great Superman game or Green Lantern or Flash would be VR. People try to adapt these characters with spectacular powers to games and it just doesn't work, but, maybe, if you focus on creating an experience of being the hero. Put you in the driver's seat as you save a child from a burning building or explore the far reaches of space.
