Anything that requires a little more imagination, something with relief? With a finish? I don't know, seems overly cheap imo.

Unless the price of the actual console in the bundle isn't that different to that of a regular console then it's fine.

You get a (physical) copy of the game with it, so it's actually $10 less than if you bought the console and game seperatly for retail price.

Honestly, I'm happy with it. I don't care if it's embossed, a decal, or an oil painting, I like it a lot. At the end of the day, I'm buying a Playstation because I want a Playstation, and I like that the Batman image accents it without overpowering it. The cape swooping over the PS logo, and the Batsymbol mirroring it. It's sleek, it's elegant, and, for a PS and Batman fanboy, it's the best of both worlds. It's the same way with the controller. I really like the Black and Grey/Silver motif. Honestly, I'm just happy to be getting an official Batman console. I remember back in the day, when the best you could do was a gaudy skin and an off-brand controller.

^ My sentiments exactly Batfan. I pre-ordered this yesterday and I'm so happy to be getting an official Batman branded console, especially since this game is the reason I'm buying the console! It doesn't look tacky in any way either. Really stylish and tastefully done. Can't wait to get it.

And the Batmobile skin is lazy too. They could have scanned one of the many '66 Batmobile models and put it into the game. A "paint job" is so cheap, especially when you see everything GTA 5 is capable of.

I agree, wholeheartedly. I don't want to play Arkham Batman cosplaying as Adam West, I want to play as Adam West, and, when you say Classic TV Batmobile, I expect some *******, Barris-built, automotive magic, not the AK Batmobile with red lines on it.

I wish there were actually custom 3D models of every famous comic/live-action tv/movie/animated series Batmobile in this game too, but I understand why they didn't do it. They would have to re-do the in-game animations and physics for every different Batmobile model (even if they left the full video cutscenes with the default skin as they did with Arkham City). Characters that interact with the Batmobile would have to be re-scripted too --for ever possible Batmobile model. The gun/cannon locations would have to be moved, the way Batman and his passengers get into and out of the Batmobile would have to be redone each for each one. Battle-mode / Pursuit mode transformations would have to be designed for every Batmobile variant. Sure they could do it if they had the time, but since the game has already been delayed twice, I have a feeling that they would rather prioritize the core of the game than make completely new models and animations from scratch.

The variant Batmen / Bat suits are another story. The basic animations of Batman don't have to be altered much at all as long as every character model is a guy with two arms and two legs, haha. Much simpler to do than have several Batmobiles which vary greatly in size, shape, location of weapons, and capabilities. I hope this game is chock full of the character's most famous looks -- including the live action movies.

I kept holding out for a console edition, but bought a PS4 about a month ago. Kinda glad I did though. I think the deluxe versions are better and want those extras so at a minimum I would have had an extra game I'd have no use for. Still might end up in that situation if I decide to keep both the Batmobile and statue editions.

I pre ordered the Arkham Knight console yesterday but then canceled it about 30 min later. I really want one but its kind of a hassle transferring all my data from the one I have now to a brand new one. Then having to sell my current one. Then having it get thrown around by ups in shipping. Just all seems like a mess. Looks like they're sold out again though now.

If I didn't already have a PS4 I would have gotten the Batman console. I agree that it's not worth it to me to get a new console and deal with selling my current one. To be honest, I really just want a couple of the cool controllers that come with it.

Honestly, I don't think I'm going to cancel my LE, and, if the Batmobile Edition opened up again, I don't know that I'd be able pass it up. With that being said, I kind of view the copy that comes with the console as a free extra. $450 is reasonable enough for the console, itself, I think. The weird thing, for me, though, is that I'm such a completist that, if I did find myself in that scenario, I don't think I'd be able to bring myself to sell any of the copies, just because they were a part of the whole package.

Geez...I wish more people would understand this more, especially the bolded. The Arkham Knight Batmobile is unique in its design and everything designed around it (entering/exiting, physics, hitbox, etc) is catered to that specific model. You CANNOT just simply swap out for any other vehicle and call it a day. So please, stop with the "why isn't _______ Batmobile in the game" posts.

But then those handguns reminded me of a figure that I just got recently...

Coincidence? I mean they even have a similar helmet shape and all...

Never been the biggest Jason/Arkham Knight proponent here so of course this is just speculation, but then does that make Red Hood a precursor to Jason's possible role as Arkham Knight? I mean the memorial/grave for that collector's edition would also make sense if it was meant for Jason...
