Not a single ounce of gameplay revealed and the game is being accused of sucking already. What's new. :dunno

I reserve judgement BUT the storyline seems interesting with all those assassins going aft Bats on Xmas eve, also I like the idea of Black Mask getting the main spotlight as an early villain....he's underrated and looks way cool in everything I've seen for this game so far. My two cents.

The game isn't even out yet, some people are way to judgmental and we haven't even seen gameplay... This game will be just fine...

The new trailer was cool as an animated short, but I really can't form an opinion on this without seeing any gameplay footage.

I love what I'm seeing of him, so far, as well. That board with the protruding nails was just brutal...

I'm still not getting what's so dark about the Nolan Trilogy. The comics and Animated Series tried more for what they were.

I just hate how Nolanverse has now set the standard for how a Batman game should be like. The article was mostly speculative, but it does make sense that if Warner Bros. is making a storyline on Batman's origins, then it will incorporate themes from Nolan's movies. Heck, even Batman's newly redesigned cowl in Origins looks like it was taken out of "The Dark Knight".

It sucks that Paul Dini isn't writing this one. Maybe his vision for the Animated Universe didn't sit too well with whoever's in charge of this thing.

It has to do with marketing. Because Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy has "reintroduced" Batman to audiences and a newer generation, WB and DC are going to aim any widespread products towards that angle.

Therefore, the casual audience Batman that THEY all know is the Nolan Batman. They don't care about the comics, maybe some know of the cartoons, it's the movies that have their attention and WB knows they can make more money by appealing to the same audience that the movie captured.

Now, that doesn't mean it's going to stray from what made the Arkham series great, it will still incorporate comic characters and backgrounds, but Nolan's Batman series "grounded" The Dark Knight and made him more realistic. I think we really won't be seeing the days of Batman in spandex anymore. He's going to be lightly armored, more "realistic", "darker" and for a while...WB/DC are going to be taking pages out of Nolan's playbook.

You mean how Nolan took elements from the comic book to make the flicks, and now they are taking those elements from the nobats verse to make a game.

Hey just chiming in, saw the trailer, looks great. I hope to get a HT deathstroke based on that design soo sick. (bit of an Army of two vibe)

I am so excited for the next Arkham!!!
I'm not buying this game unless it gets great reviews or it's around $7-$10 on Steam.

Next gen Rocksteady game!!! yay!

Hate to burst your bubble, but this game doesn't have any ties to rocksteady, and isn't being released on any next gen consoles. Unless you count wii-u.. :dunno
