Finally started my 2nd playthrough last week after my 1st playthrough bugged out on me in November. Game wouldn't start and would freeze when I tried loading my save file.

I'm about halfway through with my "I am the Night" play through. Woo!! I've had a couple of close calls. It's really not any more difficult than Hard, but I guess it's additional stress if you die you have to restart from the beginning.

I haven't gone back to this since I played it through the first time. This didn't happen with the first two. Need news on Rocksteady's next game.

A little late to the party, finally got a chance to play it since I'm on vacation, yay!

My initial impressions are that it doesn't look as good as AC, not for technical reasons, but for some reason the city has less personality than the previous games, in AC I could just grapple to a tall building and look at the view, I don't feel that compelled to do that here, maybe I'm still to used to the 1st 2 games.

The characters look freaking badass, especially Batman and Deathstroke, equally good looking as the previous games.

The controls are smooth as usual but the counter doesn't work if you do it too late, and why would they change they batarang button? It's easy to get used to those 2 details but it's just weird.

Combat feels faster and a bit more brutal at times, at times it feels weaker.

So, so far, a bit inconsistent compared to AC but still worthy of carrying the name of the Arkham series, voice acting is superb and the story has me hooked, probably will finish it tonight or tomorrow.

This was probably the most disappointing game of the year for me. I LOVE this series and have played the other 2 more than a few times. I could never put my finger on it, but the whole game felt like a step back from City. I probably wouldn't have minded this game as much if it were the 2nd in the series. But after City, this was just bad. I did like the new crime scenes but that seemed to be the only innovative thing they'd done (and even that was already based off City). Not to mention the game was short as hell. I did 2 play throughs in less than 2 weeks and sold it. Don't even get me started on the MP.

I thought the game was great. You've got a massive city to free roam in and just be batman without doing missions. I do agree that arkham city was the best in the series, and if it wasn't for the size of the origins map, I'd be majorly disappointed. The game was short and maybe had they focused on mainly the single player and not add the multiplayer, this game would've been the best in the series. Although the multiplayer is good when it actually works.

Just give us some good story based dlc! A city skin and Keaton skin

There is a DLC story coming with the Season Pass, probably similar to Harley's Revenge.

Nice. Do you know if bats will be the playable character? I was thinking it'll prob be deathstroke because of what happened at the end. I just can't wait for the next game so we can see them introduce characters like robin, two face, etc..

Was it a short game? I think it was a similar length to Arkham City. I played through both of them in the last few weeks.

I would assume Bats yeah. I think Deathstroke will be used in
a Suicide Squad game, despite him never being a member

It felt shorter to me. Although one reason I think for this is there wasn't much learning of the city to do. When you first stepped into Arkham City, there was a definite feeling of being a bit overwhelmed by the scope of the city.

But when you step into the city in Origins, it's basically "I got this."

Origins felt a little more bare bones, but I think it was actually a little more streamlined than City.

FYI this was $25 on STEAM yesterday, which means people in South America could get it for about half of that. Long story short, if you know how to use SOP and Tf2outpost, you can nab this game for about $9 right now. (PC only)

My bro couldn't be bothered finishing so I borrowed it ....and I can see why.

Its really missing the dynamic energy of 1 and 2 ....the story telling is just so flat and boring and I can't tell if its just that we've seen it all before, but the city feels far more boring than City.

I'm finishing it just because I always have to finish but it feels more like a chore than fun.

The problem for starters is making us begin the game with so little. I get that he worked his way upto alot of this stuff through 2 games, but he starts with a grapnel boost and no batswarm etc so combat becomes very repetitive and boring right off the bat.

The city is difficult to traverse and feels clumsy because theres some buildings he can't grapnel over even though theres higher up objects nearby that he can get to no problemo. It just feels like very lazy world building. In AC it felt like they designed the city with the Riddler challenges and story thought or flight paths built in from the get go but here it just feels like they built this overgrown pit and threw npcs in.

The city is too dead for it being this big and it just ends up feeling all so dark it's like one massive boiler room that's not pretty to look at and take in the way the surrounding city and neon lights gave AC some nice sights.

And it's snowing at night again. The whole thing is glorified DLC a little too late. But for the $8 I payed I'm content. The story is great and I love the characters and some of the designs are my favorites of the series. Some well thought out story telling and crime scenes are cool but theres not enough thats new or intriguing. Alot of it's just going through the motions to get somewhere we already know very well.

same here the same gaming mechanism is kinda of boring only origin provided good that crime recreation and that was something
