True, I love that one. But then his girflriend got very ugly and that made him realize he had to quit. Then she exploded and he got a prison massage and moved to Italy. Or something.

I don't care what anyone says, I'd love to see this. The animated series was awesome. There's no reason why this can't be.

And awesome use of a Supernatural gif, Web-Slinger. :rock

I'd love it, too. I was always kind of pissed at Nolan for using JGL, as I thought he'd be awesome as an older McGinnis (with Clint Eastwood as Bruce Wayne) in the movie that I had in my head.:lol On that note, though, I have to say that it seems like it would actually be harder to cast Terry than Bruce, as he's got a lot more dimensions to his Batman persona than Bruce did.

I have to admit, the thought of Clint Eastwood as an old aged Batman is kinda cool.

Eastwood would actually be kinda neat. I can definitely see the resemblance to the animated, older Wayne. I'd like them to get a 'young' guy like what they did with ASM. A fresh face. Make him cocky to a fault. Make him naive. Make him a believable high-school dragged into the crime-fighting business by fate. And then go through the motions of him developing a knack for the trade, with Wayne mentoring him along the way.

I think this has TREMENDOUS potential and would be an excellent 'filler' movie for the Batman name, until the inevitable reboot. People will need LOTS of time to forget about what Nolan did. This is the way to do it. Take Wayne out of the suit.

:goodpost: :exactly:

Not only that bust it expands on the Bruce character and establishes Batman as a legacy that will carry on over time.

At the same time, like I said, I feel like you'd have a harder time casting Terry because there are so many different facets. You've got to have a kid who's young enough that he could pull off high school, but old enough that he could pull off Batman, and be someone who you believe can go from being high school rebel/outsider to successor to the cowl, you know?

I agree with that. In an animated series, it's a lot easier to convince an audience. But with a multi-million dollar big-screen deal, you definitely have to watch where you step, especially with the large audience that this would reach out to.

No easy task. But I think that's why Wayne will be important. He'll be that balance to McGinnis' immaturity. And I think that will help the audience believe and connect more.

In the series, it was McGinnis' dad that was murdered, no? (By the 'Jokerz' gang and Powers???) I think that would be a perfect plot device to drive him and make the audience believe his conviction and drive to be a 'protector.'

I'd love it. Batman Beyond is my favorite bat series, to be honest.

If this happens we need two things:

1) The composers of the TV show (Shirley Walker unfortunately passed away).

2) Michael Keaton as Wayne. Heck, make it a sequel to Batman Returns!

Those are great ideas. I wouldn't mind seeing Michael Keaton as an old Bruce Wayne.
