I think Burtons Batman offers the best balance between comedy and seriousness. The films after Burtons are just whacky (not that Burtons didn't have a fair share of ham!) and too far into the comic book style. Nolans Batman is awesome but somehow less iconic to me or memorable. For example I try to sometimes remember some of Bales quotes and usually the only thing I can recall is - "I'm not wearing Hockey pants"
Burtons Batman just has so much more memorable lines and his Batman just seems to be doing more things that Batman (the character) does. I guess also if you're middle aged you have fond memory's of collecting the Burton Batman collecting cards or running around with your Batman lunch box!
Also if they release this PF then they HAVE to release a Nicholson Joker PF which will be the greatest statue of all time......
