Really digging the base on this. I like to look of it a lot. But I have to resist. My rules are only the comic versions of these characters. Got comic Bats on the way. If i go down this road I'll be F'd in the A. Then its Jack Nicholson's Joker, then its Bale's Batman, then it's Ledger's Joker, then Reeve's and Cavill Superman. See what I mean. Slippery slope.
Love everything about this statue but the only thing I don't like is the middle area. It looks weird
For me, while I love the 89' Batman, The Dark Knight is the best of all the films. If I had to rank them 89'would be second, even though it also has its flaws. The truth is, I love Batman comics, I love the animated series and love the Arkham games but the films, even though they are good none of them truely "get" Batman so while I like them I have problems with each of them.

I love all Batman. I love the movies, Nolan nowadays more than Burton, but my favorite Batman is from the Animated Series, and the Arkham Games. Nolan was on the right path after Dark Knight, but that series needed at least 2 more movies before they went to where they did. What happened to exploring a gotham full of "freaks". I wanted a Riddler done in the vein of the Seven Deadly Sins killer from David Fincher's Seven mixed with the Saw movies. I wanted to see Cobblepot, and a more human Killer Croc like in the Joker graphic novel. Actually, Nolan came close with Croc and Nigma in Dark Knight. The Convict on the boat that threw the detonator out the window, and Mr. Reese (mysteries). There was just too much that was left out in the Nolan universe. Otherwise i thought it was great. Burton's Batman was awesome as well, just in a different way. I saw the Burton films in the theatre when I was 19. I love them to this day. Hell I love the 60's show too. I think however that with the advent of the Netflix phenomenon where we can now get an entire season right away, Batman would be a perfect fit for this. Think of what can be done with a 13 episode commitment for a season. You can tell fuller stories, littered with cameos from more characters, because they do exist in this universe, and actually have a season, based on Long Halloween, Hush, Arkham Asylum, etc. This can eventually be a several season cohesive storyline like they did with Breaking Bad, only it'd be on Netflix originally (which is like the new HBO of non-cable). As for the new Keaton Batman PF, once I get to see how accurate the face is to Keaton's from the movie I'll decide. He looks awesome so far. After the current Batman PF being so awesome, I can't imagine the Keaton will be anything less than awesome as well.
I can't argue with you on these points. The only thing is the Gotham show will be about Gordon about 10-12 years before Batman exists in Gotham. They even said there'd be some of the villains. This makes no sense to me. Will wait ands see on that. You may gey your wish on the TV show, Gotham will supposedly premier this coming fall. As for why the films don't get me like the comics and everything else, it's simple, they're only pieces of Batman . The 66' Batman film, and show was a joke, I get they were taking cues from the camp filled late 50's comics but thay was after Seduction of the Innocent nearly ruined comics. Burtons two films had a darker Batman but it also had him dropping people off roofs and sticking bombs in their pants. Not exactly the Batman that had been around for the last 30 years before it came out....I won't even get into the Shumacher films. And Nolan, while he does try to accurately portray Batman psychologically theres so much missing from the character that he only feels like a paper version. So the movies are enjoyable, they aren't bad, I watch them pretty frequently. But they just don't capture the character I've been reading for the last 27 years. Just my opinion by the way...and yes, I still want this statue...badly

They had confirmed, either today or Yesterday, that it will also feature a young(supposedly 13 or so) Bruce Wayne which we will watch grow up and they want to end the show with him doning the cape and cowl. They also said something about featuribg a few villains origins. I'm, like you, in wait and see mode.

That sounds like it could be very interesting. Kind of like Smallville though I never watched it, it did pretty well. This could be a much darker version which would be more interesting to me. I am on the fence with this statue. I know I want a Bale Batman for sure and 3 Batman statues might just be too many since space is a big issue for me.
Which Bale suit would you prefer? BB or TDK?

I'm hoping for good things from the Gotham TV show, but I don't have my hopes set too high. Its very rare that a TV show thats based on comics/movies/superheroes really does well especially when it doesn't revolve around the lead character. It does kind of sound like Smallville which I was never really a fan of but a lot people were, so that one worked I guess. But it did revolve around Superman, but he just wasn't Superman yet.
I wonder if it will be part of the the cinematic universe. Since it is so far into the past compared to the Batman we will be getting next year. I think it could work and kind of be that origin we won’t be getting.
