Wonder how big the es will be.

1989

I don't get the whole head tilt issue. SSC often takes liberties with its sculpts. Had they had a better costume in 1988 when the movie was filmed, Batman would have been able to tilt his head. I mean I don't see why SSC has to be limited in what they do with the sculpt just because the filmmakers were. Batman, outside of film, would be able to tilt his head.

:exactly: I don't care that it's not 100% accurate in the sense that he can't turn his head in the film, it is nowhere near big enough a deal to take anything away from the majesty of this statue.

So after reviewing this thread...if I don't preorder this then a.) I hate freedom b.) I hate sex and c.) I have a small weenus. Hard to argue with that logic so I've been convinced. Setting aside the funds right now.

:lol

That is a subject that would really shine as a PF. That incarnation of Batman is already larger than life, so SS taking artistic liberties would actually work in it's favor here. Plus, in the games he's pretty agile, so almost no pose would contradict what we know of that version. Also, his suit is pretty intricate with the textures of the main suit and all the details of the gauntlets, belt and boots...easily one of the most finely detailed batsuits ever. It would be hard to pass up and Arkham-verse based Batman PF. I'd hope the pose would be something really dynamic too, like him about to throw a batarang.

:lecture

It would look somewhere between the current comic based batman PF, and a movie version. It will be the sex.

Such a cop out on the EX. It should be an additional profile PLUS the grappler. Still a great PF. My wife is starting to not appreciate the sheer number of POs. Now Bats and Darth are gone so she's been calmed down. Like Eminem says "I'm ready for combat man; get it, calm Batman?"

Batman, outside of that film, would not have extra points on the Bat tail in his chest symbol. So why didn't SSC take the "liberty" to correct an error of the filmmakers there? (After all, the filmmakers corrected it in BR) Because they are striving for accuracy....well, sometimes.

wasn't it more of a legal issue instead of an accuracy issue?

Just for the record, the decision to order or not has no bearing on weenus size. Both a. and b. apply however.

c. is more of an assumption, and ordering it DOES convey a strong sense of masculinity/femeninity, and prove at the very least, a case of actual (or literal for our lady friends) brass *****.

Damn I was hoping this wouldn't look good. Because then it would be money saved. But it looks great and I'm very tempted to order this when it goes up.

Not sure if there is a ton of crossover between these two groups of people, but to everyone complaining about film accuracy with the head turn and whatnot, while at the same time wishing the ex was a Keaton sculpt/ripped cowl, he was never shown in the film in his bat suit sans cowl. And he tore his cowl off in returns. Also, why would he have ripped his cowl off in the bat cave anyways? I think a Keaton sculpt would be badass but if you're overly concerned about accuracy that wouldn't be the best way to go

But... but... THE HEAD?!?! IT MUST BE STRAIGHT!!!

In fact... I think Batman in my new avatar is turning his head slightly...

Avatar cancelled.
Batman turning his head slightly is an abomination of epic proportions. Living proof that Hell is real and satan is waiting for us. SSC should burn to the ground.

You should be ashamed. Forfeit your membership to this site as well sir.

I can see how if you're a stickler for accuracy it would bother you, but for me a few degrees of head rotation isn't going to stop me from enjoying this awesome piece of batman merch.

Isn't your Avatar from Returns?

Aye, it is!

Yeah, I think I'm done here. This site isn't Sideshow Freaks accurate, the real SSF website is green...

It's not perfect, but it's a Nitpick... with a capital NIT

The cowl getting ripped off in returns is one of the most wtf moments ever, it's like a rubbery cheesestring :lol

Well, I probably will purchase that statue cause you know I am a big fan but I can understand the problem about accuracy of that statue which could be an issue in fact. First these products has to be screen accurate cause they are called high-end collectibles! They are not cheap cause they are licensed products as a result it is our right to expect accurate representations of these characters. Creative approach doesn't make sense and should not be used in these products freely. If they pain attention to his boots which are made of NIKE that we never see them in the movie so they have to show the same credibility to the mask which the actor could not able to turn his head in it! And we are aware of it clearly when watching the movie:) From this point of view I am in the same boat with people who are complaining but when a company like Sideshow has no other strong competitor in the market in terms of having a huge licenses, sadly you accept those issues. However I like it if we put the problem aside...

I'm so tentatively excited for the Arkham announcement and that they've confirmed 2 1/4 statues out of that line.
