its a behind the scenes fact, but not part of the story. Its become something fans know, but has nothing to do with Batman himself. its like Yoda was a puppet. But in the film he was a creature. Its just part of movie making. the turning head had nothing to do with the film.

but whatever...

Like I said, it's all a matter of taste. This PF is still an extremely cool looking Batman statue. Lots of things that are very well done. The cape is just impressive and the body armor looks stellar.

:) YES!! I love the statue. I think in person its going to be really mind blowing impressive!!! Pics just never do these collectible justice IMO. I dont own any PFs yet, but I was planning to get any of the TDK PFs they do. Now seeing this, man, just too awesome to pass up.

I fear once I get a PF my wallet is doomed. :lol

Agreed, spend too much on this stuff now, and this will be my first PF... I have a terrible sense of impending doom!

It's a Begins weakness but not an 89 weakness. It's a flaw of the screen used suit. It was not part of the story and you were not supposed to fixate on it..

Not being able to turn one's head is a weakness for every Batman that couldn't. It didn't become a weakness at the moment Scarecrow slammed Bale's Batman into that pillar, that was simply the moment that the weakness was exploited. A weakness is a weakness even before it's exploited. To think of it another way, Superman is not only vulnerable to Kryptonite when it's around him (or the moment the weakness is exploited), he's inherently vulnerable to it.

Speaking of things we're not supposed to fixate on, why are there Nike swooshes on his boots? It's not part of the story, and it's not something we are supposed to fixate on, agree? Yet SS included them (understandably, if they want to be accurate) because they are a detailed fact of the costume behind the scenes, as well as with what we can see in the movie scenes. Just like the inability to turn his head. It's a fact of the suit behind the scenes, as well as with what we can see in the movie scenes.

Actually i just thought of a better example. The suit was made of foam latex which is very bendable soft fabric. It feels like a nerf ball. He could certainly turn his head but i think it would have made the cowl look weird if he turned his head. you would have seen folds & creases in the cowl on screen. would have looked very fake. So they kept him looking straight as much as they could.

I see, it's not that he couldn't turn his head, it's that he just didn't want to? :lol

It's ok man, you don't have to conjure up an explanation that works. An urban hand-to-hand crimefighter like Batman *should've* always had the ability to turn his head, we agree on that point at least.

Everyone, step back for 2 seconds, and observe...

You're beating a dead horse and criticising a genuinely impressive collector's piece... due to a head turned just 15 degrees to the left... a head turn... a turned head.

Just let that sink in for a little bit.

I know right?!

I don't mind the slight head turn at all.

Exactly this. Not sure what all the debate is about.
