Wait lists for the original are converting
Good news for those who wanted one.
Wait lists for the original are converting
I'm selling my black ans grey below retail If anyones interesed, PM me!
I find it sad that i laughed at this then looked at my collection and wondered the same thing about some items i look forward to.After much deliberation I decided to pick up the original black/grey and keep that one as the Batman representation of my main seven Justice League members in 1:1 bust. Not wanting to take any chance on the aftermarket given the QC history, I jumped on the wait list, it converted last week and I received #1177/1500 on Friday. It has a very matte finish with no gloss or blue highlights. Around 6 of those moisture absorbing packs inside.
If you are speculating on how really "sold out" this item is all I can say is that mine had a blue "X" on the shipping box. That sometimes indicates a replacement unit. There was also no plastic bag between the shipping and product box.
I look forward to receiving the blue version as it will display on it's own. I will hold on to see if Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter are made in my lifetime.
If a wait list converts is there any chance SS will let you then go on a payment plan? I want the Black grey but can't pay all up front?
Thanks for any info.

I own this badboy now. He arrived last week. Just WOW!
You really have to see it in person to get how brilliant that piece is. Love it.
I agree that this bust is an easy attention magnet. I saw it months ago at my LCS as well prior to ordering it recently. I went by a few weeks ago and it was already gone.
This is one of those pieces like Andy's Hulk PF that it's easy to point out dislikes based on your preferences: spacing of the eyes, space between the mouth and bottom of the nose, etc. You know what? None of that matters because (as it always happens) people come to realize in a few months that this was it: Batman in 1:1 bust form and all that noise won't matter. It's an Andy B. sculpt of perhaps the most popular character in comics. Once it's in front of you in such an impossing scale all the forum complainers and photoshop jockeys can jump in a lake somewhere. It won't matter.
Then the aftermarket happens (of course). We all know how that all of the sudden erases all doubts that something was good all along. The piece was there, readily available for over a year and some chose to pass on it because of the nitpicking in the forums. Welcome to the world of collecting, right?
I think it depends. Sometimes they tell you if there is a flex schedule available when you call them on a waitlist conversion. I think it depends on how many pieces there are left and if there are a large number of people waiting on the list that would just pay right away.
Thanks solid. I got on the waitlist so we'll see what happens. I'll ask about a flex plan if it converts. If I can't get one I'll have to decide if I can afford to pay all up front or if I will be happy with the blue grey one. If it's still available.
You gonna get the Superman or Joker bust too?
If I get Batman I will be going for Superman to hopefully. Hoping he is still in stock in the new year. After the Christmas expenses are covered I hope to flex him. Joker looks sick but I am not sure how many LSB I can go for. I have a feeling if I get bats and supe the nextost tempting piece to go for would be Green Lantern but then that getting into dangerous territory as at that point I might as well just go for the full JL line up like you bud.
