Because of the almost two year delay on the black PF, I had to cancel. Happy to get this one and I really like the fact that it has a more comic-like feel overall, at least to me. Like many I grew up with blue and yellow.

Nope, I agree with you. It is better than the original PF due to the fact it looks like he came right out of the comic pages. And my being a little kid of the 80s, this version is by far my favorite.
