In traditional comic continuity Batman is roughly 34 years old. Batman is expected to be somewhat young so that, you know, he doesn't have his knees going out all the time, doesn't suffer arthritis, doesn't have to take lots of breaks, etc.

Hamm could also be any number of swell JSA elder statesman advisor-types. Would make a PERFECT Mr. Terrific.

Very true. I think he'd even make a good Ted Grant/Wildcat, given a few years. I just think that he's got the right feel for Batman. The Don Draper/**** Whitman thing is a perfect example of how he could play a person conflicted over two identities. RDJ was in the same age bracket when he took on Stark, and he's still doing it at almost 50. I will wholeheartedly agree with you on one thing, though: Hamm would make the perfect Superman if they ever brought TDKR to the screen.

He's probably a little young depending on where they take Batman, but I think Liam Hemsworth would a be a decent choice. He's been in a bunch of stuff but is due for a true breakout.

He really isn't that impressive of an actor. Plus I do agree he's way to young, especially next to Cavil's Superman.

I was just thinking of the 'up and coming' actors that may fit the role. I haven't really seen him in anything but the first 10 mins of the Expendables 2 (had to turn it off, couldn't stand the editing) and the Hunger Games.

Batman shouuld be hunting Superman to bring him to justice...

That's ****ing amazing.

If we are going up and coming. I'm voting Charlie Hunnam, as long as he dyes his hair. He would actually be perfect.

Anybody think Ryan Gosling or Bradley Cooper could do it? They both have enough star power to carry the film and are age appropriate compared to Henry Cavill.

I think alot of people posting in this thread feel cheated that Nicholas Cage never got his chance to play Superman. :lol

Pine would make a great Hal. Hammer could make for a great Barry Allen, but Cooper would be a better Wally West.

If they did something like Marvel and disregarded everything that came before, I think Ryan Reynolds would've made a better Wally than Hal.

^ they didn't disregard, they'd started at zero.

I think Joe Manganiello would be awesome as Bruce/Batman. Plus he was almost Superman in Man of Steel.

I just hope we don't get an Origins/full reboot. I would just like the movie go straight into action with perhaps some flashbacks or something.

He'd be good

While in the cinema waiting for man of steel to star I was chatting to a friend about future movies and I was saying I think a good way to go might be a superman/batman film after man of steel 2. Tha way they can introduce a new batman without having to start with a new single batman film so soon after the dark knight trilogy, and with superman already established it could focus on introducing batman to the audience and having him established in his world. This would then start the idea of a team up movie before going fully into justice league. Just my idea of course.

As for actors, no idea. Preferably an unknown but ideally someone who can fight well, as others have said his martial arts skills need to be shown. And of course someone who can act, in order to portray the depths of the character.

Also, not to be a Debbie downer but this has all been discussed various times in both the "post Nolan batman reboot" read, the "justice league movie" thread and the "who would you cast in a justice league film" thread. Could we not carry on those threads? Not trying to be a ******, just think it'd save confusion.
