While having a break earlier I reviewed the photos I saved of this figure, the proto on the left of my screen and the final on the opposite side. As I clicked on each page I noticed these interesting changes from proto to final:

- mole on Affleck's right cheek's gone on the final: now I'm not sure if the "mole" was sculpted on as a protrusion on the proto or just painted on (didn;t notice that change before, sorry if it's old news now)

- scratches and cuts on the bat symbol on the chest are a little different and more pronounced on the final. Cuts near the tail of the bat bleeds through the suit on the final. Not a big deal for me.

- Now this, for me, is a big deal of some sort: Edge/tip of the cowl's neckline seems longer (judging how long the tip of the cowl goes from the bottom of the indentation for the throat area) and more rounded compared to the proto. It's supposed to be cut straight and flat, not rounded.

inquired as to why my CC was charged Friday but no shipping details... evidently the inventory was not even delivered from the port, they are expecting it today, from SS rep:

"I apologize for the confusion. The port date for this item was 12/27. Typically we receive stock in house a week from the port date, it appears that there was a delay at the port. We setup this item to process at the end of last week because this was the expected time frame for the arrival of stock. I'm told we should know when this container is arriving by the end of the day"

hopefully it ships early this week

"Thank you for taking the time to chat in today.

I wanted to send a follow up and give an update on your Batman figure. I got an update towards the end of the day today from our Warehouse manager. We should be receiving stock of the Batman PF this Wednesday January 11. You piece should ship then.

I hope this information is helpful."

I commented on this exact discrepancy a number of pages back. I do not understand how the casting of this piece could have gone so poorly that they would have to modify the cowl to be more round and thick... I mean, was breakage in that area an issue? Although most may consider this a subtle alteration, it's most certainly an issue for me, and contributed to my cancelling.

Guess I need to modify my signature to reflect this...

Body is also too skinny imo. Just too much off for me to have kept this. At $499, I could not over look the the things that are off for me.

Congrats for getting both, and looking forward to your review, man!

Body is also too skinny imo. Just too much off for me to have kept this. At $499, I could not over look the the things that are off for me.

To be fair, the body being on the slimmer side has been there from the beginning. I think I'm yet to see a figure which perfectly got Batffleck's gargantuan physique while wearing the batsuit. Even the $2k half scale statue from Prime 1 could have used a tad more beef, IMO.
