I just hope Zach was watching plenty of They Live in preparation for the fight scene(s?)

:lol @ Devil.

Interesting to see those two interpretations of these characters together. They have zero "wow.. It's superman and batman in the same scene" factor.
No magic.. Like when people used to imagine Keaton and Reeve in the same movie.
These guys are.. "Yeah, whatever" IMO.
:lol

That may be due to the fact that the initial excitement of these 2 together has worn off because we've all saw the comicon teaser back then, everybody did, then the posters, then the incessant flow of news and rumors, hype can only last so long in this day and age, and no movie has experienced that kind of hoarding attention.

Same thing happened with the hulkbuster/hulk concept back then, the mere sight of that made people geek out, then when the trailer hit I didn't see many people particularly excited about it, not more than for the rest of the stuff in the trailer.

I find myself not being that excited for this, Age of Ultron, Apocalypse, Star Wars, and others, not because I don't look forward to them, I very much do, but because I see/read stuff about them every day.

I think the gestation period for this has been pretty crazy. It seems like a precedent for over promotion before release. Well at least for advance announcements etc.

To be honest I agree about Age of Ultron, I wasn't hyped for that at all by the time it came out.
I would remove Star Wars from that list though. They have shown so little and the hype, marketing build has been tremendous so far.
The reaction to the 2nd teaser in IMAX before Ultron would make even the hardest cynic melt. It had real emotion and simplicity. But that whole Force Awakens commercial and sponsorship explosion hasn't happened yet, I think it's going to be unfathomably big. Everything from a chopstick to a baby diaper will have Kylo Ren and Kira Solo slapped across them.
:lol

But getting back to my original point. I think these two have zero "stage presence" right now. Not sure how Warner can fix that, it just feels a bit old already. That's pretty disappointing.

Just want to add that They Live has the best spoken line in cinematic history.

Ok, you may continue your discussion about our boredom for this fight.

Do you mean when he walks into the bank and says, "I have come to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of bubble gum."

Can anyone tell me why this film is taking so long to come out? Man of Steel came out in 2013. if this was DC's plan all along to have these two meet then shouldnt they have begun right after the first Superman film?

That Devil666 meme.. :lol :clap

Yeah, these long interludes between movies. It gives fans ample time to stew & criticize which is arguably counter productive, but damn entertaining. :lol

So the original teaser where Batman fires up a batsignal to get Superman's attention that was shown way back when, was that a stand alone thing for hype or will that be featured in the film!?

I think Affleck had fantastic presence in the trailer- he will be a winner as Batman.
Cavill, not so much and I like him as Supes.

Still this will be big at box office- how big is anyone's guess.

Whatever happens in this fight, it will be better than the Manny/Mayweather "fight." The most exiting thing about the Saturday fight was seeing Ben Affleck, Christian Bale, and Michael Keaton in the same place watching that borefest.

How long was the fight.

Mayweather was paid 180 million for that length of time. :lol

That's the budget of some pretty big movies, just for throwing punches at another person.

There's a pediatric neurosurgeon somewhere saving some kids life making 00.1% of that saying to himself, I should've been a boxer. :lol

Hell, RDJ has nothing on Mayweather.
