They waited too long. Marvel has already desensitized us to that stuff, when DC should have done something like this in the early 1990s.

It's true, WB/DC blew their first strike opportunity.

It's not who flew around the world the fastest, it's who did it first that matters.

Even with MCU kind of mucking it up DC will for the time being be known as punks. :lol

I feel like some people are, legitimately, going out of their way to hate this movie, and it kind of sucks. There was stuff in Man of Steel that I didn't like (I will say, though, that I don't hate the Jonathan Kent thing, as much, anymore, though; we had some serious tornado warnings a few months back, and it seemed like all the **** was culminating right around our house (which we were away from, at the time). Long story short, we went back for the dog. I feel kind of stupid, but yeah...I feel like I'd be a hypocrite if I called Pa Kent a moron when I'm equally dumb).:lol

With that being said, while there are certain things in the trailer that I'm kind of iffy about (I think Eisenberg kind of blows, from everything I've seen so far, though I will concede that there isn't really that much to work with, so, I could be off base, in regards to his full performance). I guess I just feel like this is something to get excited about. Not even just because of the movie, but because of what it represents. After over 75 years, we're seeing the big three on the big screen together for the first time. That's pretty huge. I just hope that the movie delivers.

Yeah, don't feel dumb for going back for your dog. I absolutely would have gone back for our cats. No question.

Like jye said, it was more his motive for letting himself be killed that people object to.

And personally, I didn't find the Suicide Squad appealing at all. I'm only familiar with those characters in passing (except for Joker, of course, but I'm skeptical about this iteration), so maybe that hinders my interest?

And it will be pretty cool seeing Batman interact with Harley Quinn and the Joker for the first time on screen. Seeing Batman on top of that Lambo trying to pull Quinn and the Joker out of it while Quinn jokes is like something out of the comics and Animated Series.

Yup, at least it felt like fun.

Suicide Squad is "different". It's like what Sony was trying to push with their Sinister Six movie. Main difference is that DC beat them to punch and SS is bad guys being "forced" to be good guys.

People have "seen" Batman and Superman before. I also think Leto's Joker is generating some different hype as well because people want to see how he'll do following Ledger.

That's Sony's fault. The delay is because they keep rebooting the Spider-Man franchise, which means a reboot of the villains, which are supposed to star in that movie. :lol

Very true. Sony messed it up themselves! :slap

But at least we got Spidey and his characters in the MCU now. It'll be interesting to see where it goes...

As the article points out, it's not a totally appropriate comparison since folks already saw the teaser for Batman V. Superman, but still an impressive accomplishment for the Suicide Squad trailer.

You can thank all the pseudogeek girls who claim Harley is their gurl :lol

But it's true :lol in my FB feed I saw like 10 status updates from girls who don't give a **** about this talking about muh Harley and muh Joker and their crazy love when the trailer went up :lol I don't care it has more views and I loved the trailer, but it's no secret Harley, much like the MCU, attracts all the casuals.

Just yesterday I saw this :lol

Correct, exactly what this hobby needs, more people pretending to like it, bro, I get you.

Apologies for the ancient meme :lol

LOL...I honestly don't know how they can "pretend" to like it. Levels of engagement will vary, but I see nothing wrong with that.

I disagree. It's not who does it first that matters in life, it's who did it better that counts. Either way DC/WB is probably going to **** it up, so it makes no difference, but think about it, Blade did certain things first, but most people remember the Matrix, not Blade...and the same goes for other films, tv shows, artists..so on and so forth. Remember Michael Jackson's moonwalk? I do. Do you remember who did it first though? Not really :lol

I think it has more to do with Mr J....but hey, maybe I'm not being objective.
