Anyone get the cereal for this yet? I'll be doing a review of it, because my life is just that interesting, but I just grabbed it today.

The cereal doesn't even have a printed name, just a Superman or Batman symbol. That is bad ass.

"Thanks to VUE, we have this brand new UK synopsis for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. It doesn't provide any new plot details exactly, but we do get a better idea of what drives the Dark Knight to take up his crusade against the Man of Steel.

Also, does it hint that Superman's actions prompt Bruce Wayne to take up the mantle of the Batman after a lengthy absence from the cape n' cowl? That would certainly be in keeping with the events of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, anyway. "

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Gets A Much More Detailed UK Synopsis

“Following his titanic struggle against General Zod, Metropolis has been razed to the ground and Superman is the most controversial figure in the world. While for many he is still an emblem of hope, a growing number of people consider him a threat to humanity, seeking justice for the chaos he has brought to Earth.

As far as Bruce Wayne is concerned, Superman is clearly a danger to society. He fears for the future of the world with such a reckless power left ungoverned, and so he dons his mask and cape to right Superman’s wrongs. The rivalry between them is furious, fueled by bitterness and vengeance, and nothing can dissuade them from waging this war. However, a dark new threat arises in the form of a third man: one who has a power greater than either of them to endanger the world and cause total destruction.

The superhero stand-off that the world has been waiting for is finally arriving in cinemas, with an all-star cast bringing to life the characters we all love. Zack Snyder (300) returns as director following the huge success of 2013’s Man of Steel, along with Henry Cavill (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) in the role of Superman. Also starring Ben Affleck (Gone Girl) as Batman, Amy Adams (American Hustle) as Lois Lane, and Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 7) as Wonder Woman, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is an explosive, action-packed blockbuster that is sure to thrill DC fans everywhere.”

No. Superman has been investigating the "bat vigilante," Insinuating that Batman is still around.

March 25th 2016 will be the most superheroic weekend in world history, as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice* opens in theaters while Daredevil season 2 debuts on Netflix. It's a strong move for Netflix to program their smash hit show opposite 2016's first blockbuster, but I also think it's a smart one.

These two things are not actually in financial competition. People will take a break from streaming Daredevil to hit the theater and see Batman v Superman. They'll spend the whole weekend watching the Man Without Fear as he fights Punisher and Elektra. Binge watching doesn't replace traditional media consumption, it's a supplement to it. People still watch other shows, see other movies, watch sports events. BvS's grosses won't be effected.

But they are in cultural competition, and here's where Netflix is smart. By debuting against BvS Netflix has entered itself into a larger national cultural conversation. This only works because these are both superhero properties - if Netflix debuted Orange is the New Black against BvS it wouldn't have the same impact. But this debut date is Netflix saying 'We are as important, as big and as vital to the culture as any giant blockbuster, and we will step to them in our own way.'

This is where Netflix will win, hands down. Unless Daredevil season 2 is a total dog (and since people loved the middling first season we have a really low bar here), it will be seen as more narratively successful than BvS. Part of it is because we live in the 'Golden Age of TV,' where TV critics need to reflexively talk about how much better TV shows are than films. Part of it is that we currently believe dark, longform serialized storytelling is superior to all other forms of storytelling. Part of it is that Daredevil will have more room to breathe while BvS has to cram a lot of stuff into two and a half hours. Because Daredevil won't have massive CGI battles it will feel like the more 'serious' of the two properties, even though it's about a blind guy fighting ninjas.

So the cultural conversation will be about how much better and more adult Daredevil is than BvS. This is going to be what your Vultures and Atlantics go with. This will be the larger consensus, except among the hardcore Batfans. I'm not saying this will be true, I'm saying this is a vital moment in the 'TV is better than movies' moment. Again, unless Daredevil is unwatchable garbage this will be the reception, all but guaranteed.

Netflix wins. Warner Bros will make a whole lot of money and they will launch their new DC Movieverse and everybody will be happy, but Netflix is going to stand tall in the cultural landscape. They're going to ride BvS' coattails - can't you already taste all the thinkpieces coming down the pike that let people know Daredevil is being released the same day as BvS, a movie that will have tens of millions of dollars dedicated to telling people what day it opens? - and they'll end up dominating the conversation. It's David and Goliath, smart versus blockbuster, Marvel vs DC, TV versus movies.
Well played, Netflix

I don't expect DD to have much impact (if any) on BvS opening but it'd be interesting to see purely from an academic standpoint. AoU opening took a hit from the Mayweather-Pacquaio fight but that's a live sporting event so not a good comparison.

Not sure I ever care much about what Faraci has to say, but what he didn't account for is that people don't talk about NF shows the weekend (or even the week) it goes on the air. Binge releases by nature don't have the same around-the-water-cooler conversation effect that episodic releases have, this is pretty well documented.

You're being lied to. Again.

I need to understand why people keep believing anonymous tipsters on Reddit. I can't wrap my head around the way the entire Internet just assumes some dude who registered a free account on a free site is telling the truth about something. It makes me think humanity is far more susceptible than I ever imagined.

The latest steaming hot horse **** on Reddit is a review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice* that many movie sites ran despite not being able to check its validity at all. If I can get on my soapbox for one second: yes, this stuff gets you hits, but is that the only reason you're doing this? Is there no larger mission you have, like maybe serving your readers with good information and commentary? Just running any ******** that gets posted on Reddit is bad for your readers - you're actively misinforming them. I wish more sites would step away from this practice; sites reporting fake stuff posted at Reddit only emboldens the hoaxers. Shame on you, Cinemablend.

Soapbox off. Now you can read the review here and you should feel secure doing so, since this ViolatingNDA person did not see BvS. Their initial review is embarrassingly vague, mentioning mostly details available to anyone or that were scooped here or at Heroic Hollywood. But then they started answering questions from other Redditors and that's where it became clear: they are full of ****. There is no huge Justice League battle at the end. Green Lantern isn't in the movie. Aquaman doesn't show up on a tidal wave. These are all 100% lies.

I am only running this because many people know I have a familiarity with the shooting script and that means I have been getting asked about this for the last few days. Rather than just reply to every tweet I've placed it here: this review is fake.

That said... there is another review on Reddit that does get many of the plot beats correct. There are some things mentioned in that review that were not in the script, but that were minor enough pieces that they could have been added during shooting or during reshoots. There are major story beats that linked review gets simply wrong which the unlinked review (and since it has legit spoilers I won't link to it) gets right. So maybe there are people who have seen BvS at this point, but ViolatingNDA is not one of them

1st Faraci post -> So he'll just find any excuse to bag on the movie huh? At least I didn't have to give away a click to read his vapor :lol

2nd Faraci post -> Most of the people on reddit seem to not believe the dude of the review, but they're just asking questions for the sake of it.

Reading his "review" he's already contradicted himself more than once.

"Overall, it’s not a great eating experience, but not a bad one. "

"other than that it’s an incredibly dull looking bowl of cereal.

Unfortunately, once the cereal leaves the box, these two varieties are nothing special, or particularly good."

Man, even the cereal for this movie can't get a good review :lol

Henry Cavill On Mixed Man Of Steel Reviews & Character Development In Batman V. Superman | Comicbook.com

Zack Snyder's Man of Steel earned a robust $668M at the worldwide box office in 2013, but it only received a lukewarm reception from critics. The film's star, Henry Cavill, is not oblivious to that and addressed it a recent interview.

"The reception of my first Superman movie, from what I’ve read, was fairly mixed," Cavill told Cineplex during a phone interview.. "Everyone I’ve spoken to enjoyed the movie, but [not] unlike if you’re going to meet a stranger in the street, they’re not going to badmouth you to your face."

A bone of contention with many viewers was all of the collateral damage that was inflicted upon Metropolis during Superman's lengthy and destructive battle with General Zod. That issue is being addressed in a very clever way as we've seen in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailers that it is one of the major catalysts that fuels Bruce Wayne's hate for Superman.

Oddly enough, Cavill doesn't quite see it that way. "There’s no intentional move, I don’t think, in Batman v. Superman to address any issues that people had with Man of Steel," he said. "It’s just a continuation of that storyline and they continue to develop that world and introduce new characters."

After two films, Cavill still enjoys sifting through the "wonderfully rich" layers of Superman. "There’s so far you can go with it; if you really, really delve deep into the character, there’s so much you can do," he explained. "It’s just about exploring it within the vehicles and finding what you want to do. He’s going to have some very interesting character development in this one."

Don't post anything at Sideshow Freaks, Henry!
