Yeah Empire is a glossy paid for rag these days. Gone are the days when it had any credibility.

I just looked at RT, 32% rotten.

It fell down again? Mine's at 41% still. You know, I never thought I'd see the day where a Deadpool movie based on Way's version would be more critically acclaimed than a Batman vs Superman movie. I know it's still early but... it's damn freaky...

It comes down to the director, not the characters. Zack Snyder makes a particular kind of movie (ie pretty rubbish).

Eh, depends on the movie. I'd say Snyder is divisive (rightfully so, IMO), not the DC brand.

AoU's certified fresh with a 75%.

It comes down to the director, not the characters. Zack Snyder makes a particular kind of movie (ie pretty rubbish).

As I've said before, I don't hate him, but I don't love him. He has a certain style that just ain't my cup of tea. All I'm getting from this is that he shouldn't handle JL or any other DC movies. He did what he could, now it's time to move on

Have they started filming Justice League Part 1 yet? If not are they waiting to see if this movie is poorly received so they can fire Snyder from JL as a form of damage control?

41% is a bad start regardless. SW:TFA...which is overrated as hell and Fury Road started in the high 90's....so, it doesn't look good for BVS.

Well, we have a saying here that goes something like this: "A good morning makes for a good day". And so far, the morning is looking hella stormy. I'm still reserving judgement, but it seems it's exactly what I feared.

Eh, if this tanks critically or even commercially (which I doubt), I can see WB giving him the sack.

No way this was going to be almost universally acclaimed like TFA...however it needs better reviews.
As for box office it will be huge- so WB is waiting on the numbers in the days ahead.
Personally , overglowing reviews across the board on TFA and FR are sheep "jump on the bandwagon" mentality- they were great but not as brilliant as the reviews made them out to be.

Calling it now, the final RT score will land somewhere near 50! Avg rating is probably gonna stay around that 5/10 mark. Movie could still make big bucks despite crap reviews, for the DC hopefuls. My original prediction way back was this movie would fall just short of $1B WW, let's see how this plays out.
