My 6 year old son really enjoyed the movie. He didn’t ask a ton of questions when it was over so i don’t think it was too confusing for his little mind. He knew what was going on. He sat there for 2.5 hours and didn't move once- eyes fixated on the screen the whole time- that is a pretty big feat in itself. If he was confused or bored he definitely would have asked to leave or been squirming in his seat like hell (especially after all the candy he ate). I warned him that the monster, doomsday, kills superman in the comics so that he wouldn't be too upset if it happened in the movie. He still cried at the end, he said dad "i really can't believe superman died, "superman can’t die" lol he obviously didn't believe me- He didn’t notice the dirt floating, or if he did he didn’t know what it meant. The one thing that he didn't like was the Vampire Bat scene- it scared the crap out of him.

thats cool
maybe kids had a better time understanding it better than critics did lol.

The dirt rising only signified that the same kryptonian laser tech that destroyed Metropolis was being used on the coffin.

Maybe his body was being stolen?

I honestly don't know what that represented.

It didn't show him being back, people are just assuming that.

I thought it was a throw back to the anti gravity affect when he first takes flight in man of steel? Maybe I'm remembering wrong. I've only seen MOS once. To Me it signified he was regaining strength (not dead)

:lol

yes you did! :nana:

Or that. :lol

Ok, then he's back. :lol

That's how I took it's meaning.

I saw the movie last night. I liked it, but i wasn't in love with it.

I felt it was poorly edited at points, character motivations weren't always clear. Superman never got his time to shine as a character.

I loved the action. The CG and general visuals were gorgeous. This is the best live action Batman/Bruce Wayne by far. Wonder Woman was a freaking badass. I enjoyed alot of things and would recommend it to anyone still

spoiler opinions below
Batman Kills!? Batman kills alot and this wasn't addressed in the movie at all! I'm surprised Snyder too this rout especially after the reaction to Zods death from MOS. Now i get in real life Batman would totally kill but the issue is it changes alot about his character and potential future plots

Justice League was introduced in the most flaccid way possible. And didn't fit in the movie at all. I would have teased the Flash alone maybe, because it calls back to Bruces Premonition from earlier, which would make him realism its not a dream. Speaking of..

Knightmare scene was shoehorned in at a random point. Another poor edit. It has no connection to anything else. And then its glossed over right after it happens. It should have been Wonder Womans since her origin has magic involved and it would make much more sense for her to see it

I was disappointed with Lex. I was really looking forward to him and completely open to what i saw from the trailers. What we didn't see is by the end he was crazy for crazies sake? He wasn't fully realized as the confident CEO. The party scene should of had an epic speech from which defines his "false" persona to the audience. But the moment was squandered when hes cut off so Batman could play Spy, and then it stumbled back when he was done.

Supermans death had no build up what so ever, so there was no impact when it happened. Not to mension that its obvious hes not dead and that they undo it at the very end anyway. totally pointless

Those comments were annoying.

But I guess in real life they would say such a thing.

They were annoying but I couldn't help but laugh my ass when they kept mentioning it. Its like they were doing everything to placate those critics of MOS who described that film as nothing but destruction porn or that Superman would never, ever cause that much damage.

yet the destruction with doomsday was bigger than MOS.... even if the buildings were empty it was still nothing but destruction porn all over again

I just remembered how when Shazam got his new powers, he fought Yuga Khan, who was trapped in the source, or something. which make me thing that in the deleted scene, it may be Yuga Khan, and what we are seeing in that scene is Yuga Khan being trapped, which is why he has 3 mother boxes in front of him.

I think that's what we're seeing there, just like the ship and Fake Jor-El are telling Clark the history of Krypton and General's Zod's coup, maybe the ship is telling Lex the history of Apokolips, and how Darkseid took over when Yuga Kahn was trapped in the source.

Did I really write that the kryptonian laser was being used on the coffin!

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

Where their battle was taking place looked like Detroit. :lol

I understand people complaining about the editing, but it was done like that on purpose; it’s supposed to be a comic book brought to life. Comic books have these things called "panels", panels are linked to together in ways that are not always intuitive and they don't flow like books or other works of literature. Stories can seem disconnected because one frame doesn't always flow perfectly into the next. Some people have hard time reading comics because either A) they don't know what panel to read next or b) because they are pulled out of the story as a result of the disjointed action and flow as they read from panel to panel and one story abruptly ends as another begins.

Marvel makes “movies” based loosely on comic book characters, they do not take comic book panels and use them as the basis for the scenes they film. Zack Snyder is literally talking the panel images and putting them in the movie which is why they feel so different then marvel movies, and why they feel so disjointed at times. As another freak said, this movie was made by a comic book geek for comic book geeks…

I like your explanation......yes Snyder does what MCU isn't doing- bringing the glory of comic book panels and storytelling to the big screen- like it or don't

They're DC's answer to the Cosmic Cube
And the Batarmor copied the Hulk Buster.

And Darkseid is a copy of Thanos.

And Brainiac is a copy of Ultron.

And Flash is a copy of Quick Silver.

EDIT: Oh wait, you may be right, same creator and all.
