Bottom line is I think you oughtta give BvS another go.

The second viewing rose it up for me from a shaky 8.5/10 to a 9/10.

There you go. Mr. Green plan to see it a second and maybe raise it, a 9/10 to 9.5/10. But that might give people a heart attack.

The Green One wuz here!

In all seriousness, has anyone revisited MAN OF STEEL in the wake of BvS?

Rewatched it the night before BvS on my 65" 4K. Gorgeous cinematography by Mokri, stellar performances by everyone, specially Cavill, Shannon & Traue. Stellar plot, wonderful score.

9/10 (same grade I gave it in 2013)

Planning on finally seeing that tonight, BUT...
On Wikipedia the numbers call it in at 800.8 Million.
Some guys at Variety stated that to get even BvS would need 800M > Done.
The next 200M can still come...

If they are handle Jonathan kent better, I'll simply give MoS 9/10 as well. The problem with Synder flick is how character personality are unnecessary changed, it's not plot or story. Jonathan Kent as downer really ruined experience for me. MoS simply feels like Elseworld if Jonathan Kent is not amazing father and affect Superman as well. If they are made Jonathan Kent as a much more fatherly figure for Clark Kent and handled his dead better, MoS simply solid movie.

I've seen it four times and every time is better.

Just saw it for the third time today and agree, it gets better each time. Snyder combines artistry with big dumb fun. Affleck is the best Bats yet.

Just bummed more people didn't give it another chance, but I guess if first impressions were that bad they probably wouldn't have liked it any more the second time.

There's still the 3 hour edition and if that one doesn't work it, then we might get the full 4 hour edition too :D

There never really was an actual 4 hour version of the film. That's just the approximate length of the first compilation/cut before they actually started Editing. It was pruned down to 3 hrs, 24 minutes pretty quickly and after a while down to about 3 hours before cutting another 30+ minutes out for Theatrical release. I do think the 3 hr cut is the one Zack is most happy with. Even he thought the 3:24 cut was too long. The 4 hour one was a non-starter. :lol

Incidentally, the initial compilation cut of THE FORCE AWAKENS was over 3 hours. Hard to imagine almost an hour of that movie was pruned out.
