:exactly:
I should clarify, I haven't seen the extended cut yet. But there are several reasons I prefer even the theatrical version over Civil War:

  1. Bats and Supes are my fave superheroes, so straight up I'm biased.
  2. Battfleck is the best Batman yet, and I loved the Nolanverse.
  3. I like the dark treatment and the fact we got to see DKR/Death of Superman on the big screen.
  4. BvS feels like an event movie, while CW feels like an episode of an (admittedly very good) HBO series.

:goodpost:

Watched the extended cut.....did it flow better mmmmm somewhat. Some scenes helped others a waste that deserved cut. Overall enjoyed Batfleck....saves the movie for my taste....a bit extension to Pa Kent scene....could it get any better.

Overall still liked the film...didn't deserve the hate but still very lacking for the time they invested in making it.

Good Man!:yess:

Only just occurred to me: OMG Clark Kent is dead! Supes no longer has an alter ego. We barely knew him as a reporter.

I keep thinking this universe has burnt a lot of shells too quickly with its realistic & pessimistic nature, I don't mean this as a complaint, but it's bound to be rebooted.

Too funny. And totally agree with you on the film--much love for the Ultimate Cut from me.

I love BvS Ultimate Edition even more than the regular version for two reasons....more plot development and most importantly...more Clark Kent/Superman. No one should ever watch the regular version again. Half of the movie is essentially told in a brand new and actually "complete" way. You got more of the substance on why Batman and Superman were struggling with who they are in the film and all the plot developments that were missing too. F--king loved it. Are the folks who disliked the "humanizing" moment going to love it now...no. However this version was excellent, but I think a lot of folks who hated, probably won't watch it again. Oh well. Lol. I wonder what critics would rate this version. It's a shame WB moved to cut down the film, because it definitely suffered for it, even though I understood what the story they were trying to tell the first time.
