Honestly? I'm kind of tired of Luthor as a villain and I'm kind of digging the Rebirth/New 52 Luthor for that exact reason. He can still be a fool to Superman without being a villain, and I feel like you could get more mileage out of portraying him as a sort of anti-hero with valid concerns, as opposed to a babbling, evil maniac.

used to tell darthkostis how Lex was no anti hero material, but seems like they will play exactly that aspect in rebirth, I think hell eventually show his true colors though, hes Darkseid after all.

My ideal Lex is a dude who doesn't want to destroy Superman, he just wants him to back the hell off and let humanity run its course. He views Superman as an impossible standard for people to live up to and he thinks that they'll become complacent and stop trying to improve because of Superman. I had one thing I wrote where he says, effectively, "someone trapped in a burning building might be able to walk right out the door, but they'll be content to sit and wait and, possibly, die, while waiting for you to arrive." He knows everything about Superman, he feels bad that his planet was destroyed, but views his refugee status as a sort of unnatural affront to the natural path humanity was already on. Whether or not humanity needs to be saved, it's up to them to do it, not Superman, and, frankly, he's entirely content to allow Clark Kent to live his life and write his stories.

Is that what Lex is up to now? I haven't read rebirth, but I did see Lex Luthor wearing a metallic superman like suit and fighting some Asgardian looking alien dudes.
Yes, thar armor is from apokolips and he has a mother box, but he seems to be doing good deeds atm.

Except in Superwoman where he was crippled to make Lena Luthor the ULTRAGURLPOWERWOMAN look cool.

I agree on most of it, but I think an element of ego and megalomania should be present, I find it hard to believe such a selfless, well intentioned and empathetic man such as you describe would achieve such corporate power AND be so opposed to Superman, without a hint of personal apprehension, jealousy and such.

Oh, absolutely. He should be kind of the flip side of Superman; the foil, as I said, where he has the same savior complex, but that's okay, because he's human and he's not an outsider interfering in things he has no business interfering in. He fails to understand that Superman's existence is part of Clark Kent's humanity and not just something he can give up. The idea that he has these abilities and he feels it's his responsibility to use them for the betterment of mankind.

Even better!

Although I think Ghostbusters got cheated out of Best Rip-Off or Remake.

these whole awards with them giving it all to a documentary ( Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party) feels like a cheap statement.
I totally understand that this documentary is pure crap but why waste this year's awards on a documentary just to prove a point?
(I get it Razzies, you guys are mad about the election.... :rolleyes2) feels like such a waste just to make the statement.
Same thing when they awarded a lot to of the razzies to Saving Christmas, just to make another statement lol. some low budget direct to video movie no one cared about. I know these awards are a joke and they are not meant to be taken seriously but I wish they only nominated hollywood movies and not low budget crap like documentaries. loses the fun of it all

Every industry award from The Razzies to the Oscars are a joke. Who cares.

That's a damn shame, I really enjoyed the extended edition of BvS, the theatrical cut, mmm not so much, too many key details left out, editing seemed choppy. Extended edition was a smooth ride.
