Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I bet they will bring back Rumlow in the next movies. They wouldn't go to the trouble to showing that he survive for no reason. I wonder what they have planned for him.

Crossbones....

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I am not a fan of the short ears but other than that this is a great reveal of a great design for the costume. The short ears don't really make him look like a bat, it makes him look more like a cat . Even worse, it slightly resembles the mask he wore in Daredevil too much, with the short little horns. Batman used a bat as inspiration for his costume, hence the large ears and scalloped cape in his design, which combined made his silhouette appear to be that of a giant bat. I understand The Dark Knight Returns connection and also the desire to use a more contemporary look which this captures that look, but I am admittedly a traditionalist and lean toward the original early 30's style and the 70's style. Maybe someday....

Short ears were part of the Miller Batmen designs (Year One and Dark Knight Returns), and I like them personally. But I can go with either approach.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I think the tactical look is what made him awesome. I don't want a HT of Coco B Ware. :lol

Dude that's hilarious I think that's exactly who I see when I see the falcon!

PS: and if I didn't then, I will now.:lol

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Obviously with superman involved there's going to be some OMG **** hitting the fan, but if audience reception is good for Batfleck, I think it would be cool if they produced some solo Bat flicks where they concentrated on the detective aspect. I still want plenty of ass kicking, but have him solve/ figure stuff out. Maybe some of his gallery people haven't seen yet. I personally really like the more supernatural villains like croc and manbat, would love to see them onscreen.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Well, I can respect someone who is a fan of more vintage Batman looks, too, where he had longer ears most of the time (but the Sprang version had small ears, as did Adam West). No wrong opinion on this IMO, since we've all got connections to different versions of Batman, be it the 60s-70s version, Super Friends, Frank Miller, Burton, Jim Lee, Nolan, or what have you.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I'm not big on following upcoming movie hype but I saw the batsuit pic and instantly loved it. It looks like the Dark Knight Returns came to life with some Arkham VG texture to convey armour. It's a great balance.

In the reveal photo I think he's watching Kal-el let his father be killed by a Tornado on a news broadcast and is thinking "What a D***!"

:lol

I know I said in the MoS thread that I'd burnt myself out on watching and I wouldn't be watching again for awhile... but I couldn't resist, I watched again a couple nights ago. Still, one of the dumbest things ever to make it to screen. They may as well have had Dr Detroit comforting him as his father died, it wouldn't have made any less sense.

Oh yes can't forget about the tornado :lol
