Agreed! I hope we finally have this classic scene adapted to the big screen while we're at it:

Stupid Nolan kept Batman wearing black the whole dang time. Anyone who thinks Batman should have dark colors is an idiot because thinking a guy who sneaks around at night time should wear dark colors is soooo dumb. That recoloration reminds me more of one of my Batman Returns figures than the Batman of the comics.

People need to realize what works for one medium doesn't always translate well to another. Adam West and the Batmans from the serials had some pretty comic accurate outfits and they're typically mocked instead of being hailed as the best. Just to clarify I do want this Batman wearing gray, but there have been far better attempts to add color to that picture than that.

As a kid I couldn't stand that my Keaton Batman figures always had gold belts when it was clearly yellow on screen! We didn't see the gold coloration until Nolan's Batman. Kilmer had a black belt. I kind of liked that look minus the nipples. LOVED his sonar suit as a kid for being gray/silver and having no yellow emblem around the bat. Pretty hokey now but at the time it was my favorite onscreen suit.

Keaton's belt was gold.

Anyone who thinks Batman should have dark colors is an idiot because thinking a guy who sneaks around at night time should wear dark colors is soooo dumb.

It's one of those matter of degrees things to me, though. A vigilante sneaking around at night and trying to assault violent criminals would realistically end up dead or in jail/the nut house within a matter of days.
