Muscle Suit worked for the Comedian, but not sure about using that for Wonder Woman.

Certainly not more than it needs major emergency response followed by years of reconstruction

I can only assume Superman forces the public to build a statue of him in order to pay him proper fealty. Definitely appropriate to sculpt the neck snappage, so folks can always be reminded of what will happen if they ever defy his iron will.

Well, they've surely heard the criticisms of MOS loud and clear, here's hoping you're right and this stuff will be addressed. If it is, who knows, maybe it could redeem MOS for some of us who presently don't like it.

Well, in fairness, as I've said before, BvS could genuinely hurt my opinion of MoS too (which, again, I'm pretty confident it won't from what I've heard the different filmmakers involved say about it), but it could. So I'm with you to the extent that BvS will influence my opinion on MoS.

I just find it odd to criticise a film for not doing something that they never intended to do in the first place. It's a complaint, as it disappoints some obviously, but it's not actual criticism. I can't criticise a company that makes motocycles for not making cars, that's silly. MoS never wanted to be the superman film a lot of people apparently wanted. Well that sucks for them and I understand they dislike it for it, but you can't call that criticism, it's just a let down opinion because of unfulfilled expectations.

Real criticism is for example the tonal inconsistency at the end of the film, or the fact that Lois' was kindof forced into this. Or that some felt the final action sequences were too long. That's real criticism because it critiques that the film does not manage to pull of what it set out to do. Same thing with the 'hope' theme, if you feel MoS failed to convey that, that is real criticism.

But saying it's not 'supermany' enough isn't criticism as it never wanted to do that in this film the way many wanted it to do – it's just disappointing for them.

Btw some websites ran with the story that apparently kevin smith has revealed that their making a story unfolding over 5-6 films and MoS was the first one, so no solo> team up stale gimmick like marvel uses, but just films, films that follow each other, BvS is the second one, JL the third etc.

I don't get where they got this from as I haven't heard Smith say that anywhere, but I'd LOVE it if that's the case.

When he said these stories have a stretch meaning these movies are part of a story arch I am guessing like chapters in a book. So the feed in to one another unlike the marvel movies which exist, to a certain extent, independent of one another.

Yeah, this makes sense and it would seem that's the way they're gonna play it. I think it's smart and also allows DC to 'catch up' with Marvel. Let's see how it shapes up.

If successful they can always spin-off into solo tales post the JL story arc.

I read this too. I believe he mentioned it on his Hollywood babble on podcast. I'm not sure though as I'm not a fan of Kevin Smith so dont listen to it myself.

If true though it does seem like an interesting way to do things and is certainly a different approach to marvel. Pretty exciting as far as I'm concerned.

Exactly, actually they're not catching up to marvel inasmuch as they're doing something different, which is the best imo. Let marvel do what marvel does, plenty of other ways to go about a shared universe cinematically. Worst thing imo would be if they tried to clone marvel's formula, taking in both the positives and the negatives of said formula.

@Moose I think it's gonna be more like books in a book series, but with films... Or both. I don't want cinematic TV, I want films that have a solid beginning and end or are a true trilogy, quadrilogy etc.
@Russell I always listen to HB-O, missed it apparently.



Imagine, though probably never happening, but imagine seeing superhero films and like in comics you can actually be surprised who will show up, crossover style. So awesome. Like superman showing up in Hush, imagine that on film, endless possibilities if they manage to keep it under wraps.

I have no problems with Gadot. Many artists have drawn Wonder Woman in the more "cheesecake" styling for lack of a better term and it works fine. Michael Turner for example:


That poster I remember selling all over the place and getting raves. Not to mention in most animated features she shorter and far less muscular than the male counterparts and no one really cares. In fact, I prefer my Wonder Woman less muscular, the feats of strength are more impressive to me than if she is enormously muscular and overly tall. Even if she gains no muscle whatsoever for the role and tones out, the Injustice costuming (which seems to be one of the leading thoughts) has looked impressive on cosplayers for a while now.

Pretty much think Xena is the WW I'd like. She was perfect, although lacking the acting level for cinema, but phyisically speaking she would've been a great WW imo.

Edit: although when looking at pictures of her now she's less muscular then I remembered.

I don't know, still think Carano has the perfect build for WW.
