No one who knows anything about color would ever call grey a color. Nor black nor white for that matter. You're starting to rant a bit, and while well written, none of what you mentioned has anything to do with why one set of movies is perceived better than another. No one cares about the themes in Michael Bay's Transformers. They care about terrible robot/mecha design, lips on robots, bad writing, bad acting and inane plots.
BTW, no fake muscles airbrushed onto the Superman suit, as expected.

Holy gel hair Batman!! Is that photo of Cavill before or after the ice bucket challenge?
Suit looks fine. I'm glad they got rid of the ugly wrist gauntlets. The emblem looks better too.

I agree that the new suit looks like a big step down from MOS and that it does look a lot cheaper like a kid's Halloween costume. What the heck, it was awesome in MOS. Did they consult Joss Whedon for the new look?

What matters is how it looks on the film, not on the set. A lot of film costumes look like **** in real life, but on film, they look good
