Oh yes ordered 1/2 WW on like day three of PO!

Then I'm surprised you're getting this piece.

It's like night and day. Are you getting it to complete a 1/4 trinity set?

But whatever the reason, I recommend not displaying them next to each other.

I'm a sucker for Gal's WW- the body and detailing look great- I may repaint the head myself since I do alot of modeling.

Didn't the Keaton PF have his head turned to the side? He couldn't do that in the movie but still a very nice statue.

Yep he sure did and at first people were complaining about that, but because the statue is so nice both the base and figure people over looked that inaccuracy.

Here is an interesting fact the boots on the PF have the Nike swoosh logo on them, talk about attention to detail.

Yeah, I knew about that complaint prior to purchasing the piece. And honestly I thought it was the most ridiculous complaint I had read on these forums at the time.

I'm okay with what they did, as he would've looked worse with the 'attempted' head turn as he's depicted in movie stills.

Though it's one of the few times Sideshows 'artistic licence' hasn't bothered me at all. As it's nowhere as bad as the facesculpt on this Wonder Woman PF.

Well that's true. I guess I've just always seen the lack of head movement as part of the character..on the big screen at least. Why I prefer the Begins cowl to TDK version.

No insult intended, but I personally felt that it wasn't so much a lackness in the movie character himself, but a lack of capability of the costume department itself in creating a cowl that could properly move.....but then again it hasn't been achieved properly all the time either.

So mine arrived, really cool pose

But the face makes me so sad [emoji24]

Head sculpt looks elongated and narrow there, is that how it is in real life or is that due to len's distortion?

Nope.....just movie ( and TV lIke Kirk, Spock and Buffy ).

I see, I didn't realize there are so many movie PFs. I only know of ones from comic films, Predator, Terminator, Indiana Jones and Horror movies, although I do vaguely recall the Buffy ones.

Although I do have the Original green Hulk, Thing and Red Hulk PF's as well. Just not on display at the moment.

Some consider them the Grails of Sideshow pieces, since the paint job on them is really good and not sloppy at all, unlike most Sideshow pieces.

Yeah especially considering how accurate the cowl sculpt was, but I guess some people just want things to be 100% accurate, even if it's something as minor like the head turned sideways. Everything about that PF is just amazing from stair base to the actual figure itself.

Agreed.

That's true.

I only have the black dress Buffy, not the whole line. Some of my others are Godfather, Scarface, James Bond, Jack Sparrow, A New Hope Star Wars pieces, ROTLA Indy, T2, 3 LOTR pieces, Seven of Nine and so on. I'm just grateful I'm pretty much out of space lol.

yeah me too, wonder why its taking so long, alien egg also paid wednesday no shipping

Same here- paid and nothing- Hey! Maybe they are rush ordering a new sculpt to be included with our orders!:rotfl

The headsculpt is absolutely horrendous, looks worse then the dc multiverse 6 inc figure. Seriously sideshow should be embarrassed by this, everyone who bought one should either get a partial refund or be given the option to return it at no cost (no shipping). It’s mos PF all over again, I am still bitter about that one I paid full price at release then they started giving them away for peanuts. I got ripped off on that

Interesting. Is it because of the sculpt?

Yup.

If you read the last handful of pages, that's what has been occurring in this thread.

The facesculpt, cancelling and receiving back the NRDs and Rewards.

That's nice of them I guess, haha

I wonder if they were on a deadline or something, maybe try to rework or fix the sculpt to keep the sales :dunno [emoji38]

As I don't have the greatest amount of trust when it comes to Sideshows capabilities when it comes to sculpting and producing facesculpts with an actors likeness, I don't see that giving them more time will help.

Heck, you have to remember that many others have said that they already did rework the sculpt!? Which is why the vast difference between the proto and now.

But I'm guessing Sideshow, like with other lacklustre movie related pieces, have probably decided to cut their losses with this one.

If this continues the way it has been, they really must give up some of their movie licences... for the betterment of the collecting community

It may not be perfect, but I can truly see more Gadot in that repaint!
