My point was, Batman overcomes his opponents' willingness to kill all the time. I don't figure that's going to be the deciding factor here.

Batman. He lures Wolverine into a magnetized Adamantium trap (something that Wolverine can't cut his way out of), gasses him, and, using Wayne technology, removes the Adamantium from his bones (they did it in the movie), he then grows some new bones for Wolvie using stem cells, and replaces his claws, so that Wolverine's body doesn't reject their being removed, and, thus, allow them to grow back again.

Boom! Batman just evened the odds!

On a chance meeting unprepared, Batman would have to evade and get the hell out of there. He goes back to his Batcave, runs some DNA samples taken from the scene and learns about Logan's healing power. He understands he can't afford to get drawn into physical combat so he sets up a magnetic trap just for Wolvie and lures him into it. Batman wins by means of bat-technology.

He would die horribly in a protracted fight though.

That's what people don't understand about Batman. He doesn't need "prep time" so he can "make a plan," he already has a plan, and a backup plan, for 90% of unforeseen circumstances.

That was the most retarded thing about that youtube video. Neither of them would have fought the other. Wolverine came across as a dumb thug and Batman came across as an OCD neighborhood watch twit.

But, all else being equal, Batman always wins. (If all else is not equal, Batman will make it equal.)

Wolverine would fair better than Hulk though. Batman would take Hulk, no contest.
