Ok saw this movie Friday night and..........it was a cliched filled piece of crap. That said it was still entertaining.

Looks it's a big dumb action film and thats all. The dialog in this movie was so bad that I could not stop laughing in the theater (I was making my friends laugh because it would be an "emotional" scene and I would just be laughing because it was so "script writing 101"). "it's ok I'm a vetrenarian" - come on.

This movie did deliver on the action - though a little less shakey would have been nice - and for that alone I can say that the movie is entertaining. If you can get through all the cliches and the horrible dialog and watch it purely for action then you will enjoy this movie, oh and if you have a hard on for Marines (no disrespect for Marines is meant with that statement - just making that clear).

While I agree that most of the dialog with the civilians was way too sanguine... almost all of the dialog in the film was spoken by the Marines. And they actually do talk like that.

I also have zero issue with the film basically being a PSA for the Marines, though I'm sure that's what has 90% of Hollywood throwing up in its mouth.

Finally saw the movie last night...
The mood was great, the action scenes were pretty good, the tension build up is definitely there...
The "character development" @ the beginning was useless and unnecessary. Dialogue sucked, and I felt the movie dragged for too long...
And the "epilogue" was just laughable...
They should've kept it as an action movie, and cut about 20 minutes of it...

This is your review of TRON LEGACY, right? :monkey3

:wave :peace

do they often yell out "We Won" at the end of a battle?

As far as I know...word of winning a battle spreads around like any other news on the battlefield. In the chaos there are some who will not be sure when firing stops, but the dust has not yet settled. So yes, eventually somebody, somewhere on the battlefield has to tell someone else..."we won". And yes...sometimes it is shouted with enthusiasm.

This movie was no where near as good as I hoped it would be.
Poorly written, hackneyed dialogue;
except for the main character, almost no character development;
I was never able to "feel" anything for any of the characters, I didn't care about them at all;
you never get a good idea what the aliens look like even when you should be able to (you'll know what I mean if you see it);
my gods, will this shaky cam **** ever end?

One last nitpick
Water? Really? They're only after our liquid water? If the aliens have the technology to traverse vast stretches of spacetime, then they should have the technology to freakin' melt Europa.
