Have they released the spec requirements for bf3?

Wondering whether my MacBook pro would be able to handle it..otherwise might have to go ps3 version.

Looks like the other battleifield campaigns... Shoot people, get in vehicle, shoot vehicles, shoot more vehicles, checkpoint... I know call of duty isn't much different, but hopefully there will be more cinematic cutscenes in this.

Hopefully the graphics look almost as nice on PS3...

Just read an article saying it would run the same on all three platforms yet in the same article it was desingned for the PC & PS3, heres a snippet...

"Our goal has always been to create a game that works equally on all platforms," he said. "So the engine is designed to run smooth on the PS3 as well as on the PC."

Back avoided making direct reference to the Xbox for obvious reasons, but did continue: "I think the consumer will not see any big differences between the versions."

Notice the "big", meaning some differences not indentical on all,

So this is confusing, it seems that DICE are quietly stating that in terms of their games quality it goes PC, PS3, then XBOX.

Footage of Battlefield 3 on the PS3.

I know this isnt direct footage but it does look awfully pixelated.

I just wish devs would be honest and say it will look better on PC, becuase of better processing power, instead of saying equal.

And i wish instead of saying the games will look equal they should look best on each platform meaning on PS3 it looks as good as exclusives like GOW3, UC2 and Killzone. And on 360 as good as Gears of War.

Still looks good, but not that ultra-chrispy footage that's been shown on youtube.

Still, not that big a step up from bad company 2. And 30 fps on consoles... ew.

Processor: Dual Core
Memory: 2 GB
Hard Drive: 15 GB for Digital Version, 10 GB for Disc Version
Video Memory: 256 MB
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
DirectX: 10

You'll be able to run it on your MacBook pro on low settings without much eye candy.

For very high settings you'll need a £2000 Desk top minimum. Or just buy a Xbox 360 !!! I think the 360 is far better for online playing.

You can't base how good a computer is just by saying "you'll need a £2000 Desk top minimum". And the 360 is not better than a computer to play online. It's all a matter of preference. I could also say that PC games online blow away any console, but I won't. It's a matter of preference.

I hope I get a slot on the beta....

Looks great, would've been great to go from underground to above in the same map.

Hope there is a few more pistols than BC2

Hope there is an option for some guns in multiplayer to switch between single shot, semi-auto and full auto like in the single player.

Would be awesome if in single player they played it close to actual gun usuage techniques, like not using a machine gun in a tight space (you'll go deaf) and not taking guns under water (they wont function after.)

damn, those guys playing suck hard. what a shame they get to test it out.
