Played it tonight. Yeah, finding a server is a large pain. Also didn't care for the rise in strafe upwards when shooting some of the guns. I think they corrected things a bit much.

I aimed for a head shot, I hit a plane.

Btw BF3 on pc on all ultra setting on is the way to go.

You're the first PC player I've seen take a shot of their scoreboard with a camera.

51 to 21, im not that impressed this is a normal stat for me

Strange... both of you on 18 players? why so low... I love playing on 48 and 64 player servers. Playing on anything but that just feels so empty.

You can have some pretty epic long running rounds on a large server that only has a few players. Constant flag capping. You have to move to stay alive & win.

Hey, a BF3 thread.

First time I played in about 2 weeks, and I'm so rusty. I'm not a big fan of the bigger maps for teammatches though. The rounds are longer since the map is bigger. The small tdm maps were quick.

I always plays on 32 player servers, the maps are too small for 64

I can't hit the side of a building with any of the LMGs, even with bipod deployed.

I'm not leaving my jet, staying seated in the cockpit.

Same. I can actually fly as long as I'm not turning or shooting or doing anything other than flying straight.

I'm assuming you're flying with the keyboard/mouse? if so, impressive.

Yupp mouse + keyboard.. thanks man, I've been a BF heli pilot since Battlefield Vietnam back in the day, so I should be ashamed if I hadnt acquire some skill

I can't use the vehicles in BF to save my life. It's incredibly difficult. the only one I can drive is the tank. Everything else is so hard to control.

I'm pro at driving the jeep, my buddy slaps C4 on the front I haul ass around tanks he jumps out and detonates em'. Such a fun time.

So what's your guys favorite setups for the different classes?

G3A3 for assault (Frontgrip and heavy barrel)
SCAR H for engineer (Frontgrip and heavy barrel)
M60 for Support (Frontgrip and extended mag)
L96 for Recon (Different scopes, Acog for indoor like Metro and 12x for larger maps, straight bolt)

I have many guns I like per class (I suck at the names for them, sorry):

Assault: M16A3, G3, M416, and LA852? (sorry don't remember the exact name) all with grip and heavy barrel

Engineer: G36 (by far) and then the M4A1, G53

Support: MG36, PRK (?), and the other one that I can't remember the name with 27 in it Can't stand the other heavy machine guns.

Recon: M98 12X, M40 8X, SKS with 4X scope

My main weapon is my knife, I nearly have 4000 knife kills according to my Battle log.

Setups.

Assault: M416, AEK-971, F2000, Famas and G3A3, all with foregrip\heavy barrel

Engineer: A-91, M4A1 with foregrip and heavy barrel.

Support: C4 for tanks, Claymores in small maps... I don't use the heavy guns, so I stick with SMG's... PP-19, P90 and PDW.

Only time I use the recon is when I'm camping and spawning team mates in the enemies base.

Favorite guns are the shotties by far, USAS before the patch was my favorite... now I use the DAO, mostly.

Favorite handguns: 1911 w/ suppressor, Magnum, REX, just got the 93r tonight and had A LOT of fun with it.

I can't wait for the new expansion pack coming out this summer, the close quarters pack.

And it's seriously hard to arm mcoms in rush....

I'm trying to complete my assignments, and there's always campers defending the mcoms. I have to be in recon and be really close and plant a radio beacon so I can parachute pretty close and just run to arm one.
