Battlefield 3

Been playing for 5 hours straight. I may or may not have a Battlefield addiction. Loving the new maps!

Nope. BC1 and 2 and now BF3.

To be honest, I'm not crazy about any of the new maps. Theyre huge (can be good or bad, but I tend t like the smaller ones best) and very vehicle focused. Again, I'm an infantry guy mostly, so getting huge vehicle maps isn't a big plus for me. It would've been nice if they gave us a mix. These are all huge and all vehicle. A map like Wake Island, there's honestly no reason to ever be on foot. Fly around or tank whore all day and you're good to go.

If you're an aircraft fan, you'll be happy. Every map has both jets and attack choppers. If you're a sniper, you'll be happy. Every map has a ton of hiding spots and super long field of views. The maps are fine for what they are. They're just not great for an infantry run and gunner like me. I spent most of my time on foot trying to shoot down all the birds.

Is there more destruction as was advertised or was it just a lolz stunt.

I can't say for sure on the destruction. There was a ton of ____ blowing up, but with all the vehicles, that's expected.

Karkand has plenty of close combat opportunities if that's what you're seeking.

i'm very pleased with this release, lots of excitement and fun to be had with all the new additions.

Definatelty felt like more destruction was taking place around me.

Well, Karkand certainly has a lot of camping opportunities. Almost every time I get shot at, it's from some guy camping on a rooftop.glad you're digging, but these are a swing and a miss for me.

Yeah, it's called Conquest Assault. It's like Conquest and Rush combined, one team starts with all the flags already captured and have to defend them, while the other team is on the attacking side. The defenders get slightly less tickets than the attackers, and if the defending team looses a flag they can still get it back like normal Conquest.

Do all the Karkand maps play as Conquest Assault? or is there a way to play normal Conquest on those maps as well?

I don't see Conquest Assault anywhere, just Conquest.

Maps and destruction are unbelievable, even on the Xbox.

Conquest Assault seems to be random. Sometimes it'll be regular Conquest and sometimes it's Assault. I only do Conquest searches and both have come up. I prefer regular Conquest.

Yeah, Conquest Assault comes up randomly. But it's in the regular Conquest playlist.

just unlocked the famas. it's pretty damn good once you get a RDS on it.

I think conquest assault was in BF2. I don't remember clearly but starting out with the enemy having all flags sounds about right to me. I loves Karkand. That was the only map I played in BF2.

It's not marketing folks, they definately upped the destruction in these new maps.

Any initial problems I had with this game console graphics wise have now been 100% eliminated.

Dang anyone else having a hard time trying to buy Back to Karkand DLC on origins?

Just went 38-10 and my team still lost. It's incredibly annoying when you put that much effort into winning but still lose because your teammates suck. Go play Call of Duty or something.
